How to Play Craps Live?

Having created the first-ever Craps Live game, Evolution Gaming tried to adhere to the same rules of the original casino game.

That way, excited gamers who’ve played Craps in land-based casinos won’t get frustrated when they play the dealer version.

But, of course, there are a few changes that players need to be aware of. Firstly, unlike in the original game, where a live dealer throws the dice, here a mechanical arm is entrusted with the task.

This move is meant to add randomness and transparency to the game and avoid a situation where players suspect the dealer of foul play or a bad roll.

To win the game, players need to correctly predict the outcome of the dice throw. Note that you’ll be placing your bets against the house and not other players.

To start a Craps Live session, the betting window is opened and lasts approximately 17 seconds.

Players have to quickly place their bets on the expected results of the roll of two dice or several rolls. After you place your bets, the Come Out roll starts.

Put simply, the Come Out roll is the first dice roll of the game, or one that comes after the previous betting round has ended.

Depending on the outcome of the dice, the possible outcomes are as follows:

• If the total of the two dice thrown is either a 7 or 11, you win on the Pass Line bet and get another chance to roll the dice.
• If the dice roll displays a 2 or 3, you win on the Don’t Pass bet. If the sum is 12, you push on the Don’t Pass bet and your stake is returned.

Whichever outcome is reached, the round ends and a new Come Out roll begins. If the dice roll produces any other outcome (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10), the total is known as the Point.

Whenever a player established a point, a Puck (a disk that looks like a hockey puck) is turned ON next to the rolled total.

The bet then remains undecided and the Puck stays ON until you roll the same number and win or roll a 7 and lose the bet. Only then, can the Puck be turned OFF for a new Come Out roll.

Craps Live bets can be grouped into 2 broad categories—Multi-Roll bets and One Roll bets. Each type consists of independent bets with different payouts.

The following Multi-Roll bets can’t be settled on the initial roll, but stay on the table until a player rolls a 7 and loses or rolls a Point score and wins:

• Don’t Pass – This bet is only available when the Puck is OFF. On the Come Out roll, you win if the dice roll shows a 3 or 3. A 12 score results in a Push, while a 7 or 11 is a loss. In a Point roll, you win if the outcome is a 7 and lose if the same point number is rolled.
• Pass Line – For this bet, during the Come Out roll, a 7 or 11 outcome results in a win, while 2, 3, and 12 are losses. One a Point roll, a 7 is a loss, while the same point number is a win.
• Come – This bet is only available when the Puck shows ON. Bets win if 7 or 11 are rolled, and you lose if the dice lands on 2, 3, 12. Other outcomes result in a Point and you win if the same point is rolled again before a 7.
• Don’t Come – This bet is only available when the Puck shows ON. Bets win if 2 or 3 is rolled. 12 pushes, and you lose if dice lands on 7 and 11. Other outcomes result in a Point and you win if a 7 is rolled before the same point is rolled again.
• Take Odds – This bet can only be placed on Come or Pass Line bets with an established Point. A circular spot indicates that you can place this bet and get the true odds for the established point against a 7.
• Place to Win – For this bet, you’re predicting that a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or a 10 outcome will appear before a 7 does.
• Lay Odd – This bet can only be placed on Don’t Come or Don’t Pass bets with an established Point. A circular spot indicates that you can place this bet and get the true odds for the established odds together with your Don’t Come or Don’t Pass bet.
• Hardways – This bet is placed on Hardways pairs (from 2 and 2 to 5 and 5). You win if the exact pair you’ve placed your stake on appears.
• Place to Lose – For this bet, you’re predicting that a 7 outcome will appear before a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or a 10 does.

As their name suggests, One Roll bets are valid for and are resolved after only one roll. This type of bet can be placed during both Point and Come Out rolls.

The Craps Live betting grid has a “ONE ROLL” tab that you can click or tap to place the following One Roll bets:

• Seven – bet on any combination with a total of 7.
• Crap 2 – Bet on an exact total of 2.
• Craps – Bet on totals of 2, 3, or 12.
• Field – Bet on totals of 2, 3, 4, 10, 9, 12, 11.
• Eleven – Bet on a total of 11.
• Crap 3 – Bet on a total of 3.
• Crap 12 – Bet on a total of 12.
• C * E – Bet covers Craps and Eleven bets.

Craps Live features & betting options

Craps Live is played in a stylish underground club with a studio theme that exudes a 1920s feel.

As mentioned, a mechanical arm is responsible for throwing the dice and uses different speeds and strengths each time.

Even though the mechanical device throws the dice, a real-life dealer loads the dice into the machine.

To give the game a realistic community setup feel each time you win, you can activate the Cheers or Applaud button and receive cheers from a virtual audience.

You’ll find a Number’s feature displaying the possible total from the throw of dice. This feature basically shows you the number you need to predict to win, as well as the possible payouts.

Placing your bet is as simple as clicking a button. You’ll also see close-up views of the dice each time it’s thrown.

Beginners shouldn’t feel overwhelmed and can choose to start with the Easy Mode before jumping into the thick of things.
