We really like the background image in this release. It feels a little too zoomed in for our liking. Because of that, elements of the user interface end up blocking parts of the background.

We have seen ancient Egypt themes that are more creative, but this one is reasonably good.

Find three or more Wild-Scatter symbols on the board to win free spins.
Three, four, five or six Wild-Scatters unlock ten, fifteen, twenty-five, or fifty free spins. During free spins, one icon is chosen to become a special expanding symbol.
This expanding icon will grow to cover all positions on the reels it appears in. It can also grant rewards from anywhere on the payline, and pays on every winline at once. It is possible to retrigger the bonus.

We enjoyed playing this slot, but your mileage may vary there. The only change it brings to the popular formula is the different playing field.
Unlike most ‘book of’ games, this one is played on a six-reel, four-row board with 4096 ways to win. The larger playing field means more chances to trigger the bonus.
The 40,960x jackpot is also much bigger than what Book of Dead offers. Personally, we think the jackpot is what really sets Crypt of the Dead apart from its competitors.
We rate this release 3 out of 5 stars. Not entirely original, but very promising and super fun.
