Who stands behind these pages?
Top Canadian Casinos is put together by Halvero Digital Media FZ-LLC, registered at Loft Office 1, Dubai Media City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is a media company. It has no gaming licence, whether from a Canadian province or from a regulator overseas, it accepts no wagers and it never holds a cent of player money. When one of our pages says “we recommend”, treat that as the view of an editor and nothing grander.
Reviews, bonus tables, deposit guides and news items on topcanadiancasinos.org are written for a general audience. Do not mistake them for legal, tax or financial counsel fitted to your circumstances, and reading them does not turn you into a client of the company.
Is online casino play legal where I live?
It hinges on your province, and the final word does not belong to us. The Criminal Code only permits gambling that a province conducts and manages itself or allows under its own licensing scheme. Most provinces sell online play through a Crown corporation. Ontario runs a regulated open market in which a private brand needs to be registered by the AGCO and to hold a contract with iGaming Ontario; only then can it take bets from residents. Alberta's AGLC applies rules of its own.
Quite a few casinos mentioned across this site carry licences granted overseas, say in Malta or Curaçao, and sit outside every provincial register. Whether you may play at one of them, and what recourse remains if a payout goes missing, is settled by the law in your province. When in doubt, ask a lawyer or look up your provincial gaming authority before registering anywhere.
What happens if I am in Ontario?
Brands registered in Ontario follow advertising standards that sharply restrict promoting bonuses to people in the province. Bonus figures printed here are not aimed at Ontario residents and may be closed to them entirely. Living in Ontario? Pick an operator from the iGaming Ontario list and read any offer on this site as background about other provinces.
How fresh is a bonus figure?
Each amount was copied out of the operator's published terms on whatever date that page was last reviewed. Brands reshuffle welcome packages, wagering multipliers, maximum-stake caps, game contribution tables and expiry windows at will, sometimes for one long weekend. A figure that held last Tuesday could be off by this morning.
What you see in the casino cashier, plus the promotion rules linked from it, always outranks our copy. Spot a mismatch? Trust the operator, then tell us at [email protected] so the page gets another look.
Does a licence number on a review prove a casino is safe?
No, it does not. Licence numbers, testing-lab seals, ownership details and withdrawal speeds quoted in a review come from the brand's own description of itself. Where a regulator keeps a public, searchable register, we cross-check against it, yet a licence can be suspended or pulled on any given day and a casino can be sold overnight. A badge tells you where a brand claims to be supervised. It cannot promise that you will be paid, that a complaint will be resolved in your favour, or that the games suit you.
Who earns money when I sign up?
The site is free to you because casinos foot the bill. A good share of the buttons leading to a brand are tracked partner links, and a fee reaches us after a reader signs up or tops up a balance having used one. Such deals shape which brands make a list and the ranking order in some tables. They may not shift a single word about wagering rules, cash-out limits or complaint history. Details live on Partner links explained.
Are ratings and star scores objective?
A score is the judgement of whoever wrote that review, measured against six headings set out on our About us page: safety, payments, design, game range, bonus terms and support. Two thoughtful reviewers might well rank one brand differently. A high mark says the casino held up on those headings when it was checked. It does not say the brand fits your budget or your province.
Can I rely on payment and payout information?
Deposit options, Interac support, charges, minimums, limits and payout timings are listed the way the brand or the payment company presents them. Canadian banks and card issuers occasionally decline gambling transactions, and identity checks may freeze a first withdrawal for several days. Confirm everything in the cashier, keep receipts and screenshots, and only deposit sums you could lose without strain.
What about game guides, RTP and strategy pages?
A return-to-player percentage is a long-term average stated by the game's developer. It describes millions of spins rather than your next hundred, and a casino can switch on a lower-paying version of the same slot. Strategy articles explain how a game works; no betting system beats the house edge, and none of them is a route to an income.
What about news and tax articles?
A news item reflects what was public when it went up and is not chased as the story develops. Tax articles sketch general principles only. Whether your own winnings count as income turns on your personal situation, so take the question to the CRA or a chartered accountant rather than to a casino guide.
What if a link takes me somewhere else?
Outbound links land on websites outside our control. The moment you leave topcanadiancasinos.org, that site's terms, privacy rules and security habits take over. We cannot answer for malware, outages, content or account decisions made by a casino, a payment firm or any other third party.
Who is responsible for my gambling?
You are, which is why the age warning appears on every page. Only adults should be playing, meaning 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Quebec and Manitoba). Set a budget before the first spin, walk away once it is spent and do not chase a losing run. If the fun has gone, phone ConnexOntario 1-866-531-2600, free and confidential, or open our responsible gambling page for the self-exclusion tools that provincial platforms provide.
How far does the company's responsibility go?
As far as your provincial law permits, Halvero Digital Media FZ-LLC bears no liability for any loss tied to this site or with acting on what it publishes, including lost deposits, refused cash-outs, closed accounts or forfeited winnings. Wherever a statute forbids a limit like that, the limit shrinks to whatever that statute allows, and your statutory rights remain untouched.
How do I report an error?
Send the page address and a note on what looks wrong to [email protected]. Each correction is measured against the operator's live terms and, if it stands up, the page changes. Asking us to take down a fair review that happens to be unflattering does not count as a correction. House rules for visitors are on Rules of the site.
Why does this page exist at all?
Casino guides tend to sound more certain than they have any right to be: exact bonus figures, scores that look like measurements, lists headed “best”. This page is our reminder that each of those is a snapshot written by people working from operator documents, and that the operator, the regulator in your province and your own bank have the final say over what actually happens to your money.
Before a first deposit
Five checks that no page on this site can do for you:
- Is this operator allowed to serve players in my province?
- What do the promotion terms on the casino site say today, in full?
- Which currency will my balance be kept in, and what will conversion cost?
- How long does identity verification take before a first withdrawal?
- Have I set a deposit limit and a loss limit before starting?
