RegionsTwitter and OLG launch new sports betting series
Published: February 18, 2025
Twitter, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), and so.da joined forces to launch a brand-new digital sports betting series.
Former NFL player, Joe Montana, was the interactive show’s first guest.
Game Plan debuted last week on Wednesday. It’s the tenth customized series launched as part of the Twitter Originals Fuelled by so.do program.
It’s so.da’s first sports show of this kind, but it’s also Twitter’s debut sports betting series in Canada. There’s another first here, as Game Plan is OLG’s inaugural sports program.
The three sides will include more than 800 pieces of exclusive content. Weekly episodes of Game Plan will also be available on Twitter and OLG’s olggameplan.ca hub.
The show, filmed on a set in Toronto, will deliver weekly interviews with sporting legends and current stars, combined with interactive content.
The first guest hosted by Docking and Smith was Joe Montana, an NFL legend and Hall of Fame. They talked about the Super Bowl, and Montana revealed which team he was backing to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
David Pridmore, Chief Digital and Strategy Officer at OLG, commented:
Backed by 30 years of sports betting pedigree, Game Plan will take the customer experience to new heights [and] opens a new window into the sports world with one-of-a-kind insights and sports wagering content delivered weekly.
