RegionsSteve Aoki named World Poker Tour brand ambassador
Published: January 22, 2025
The World Poker Tour (WPT) made the headlines after naming Steve Aoki its brand ambassador. As Season XX is ready to start, the US DJ becomes the latest celebrity representing the poker tour.
The 44-year-old Aoki has more than 8 million followers on Twitter and regularly performs in the most popular nightclubs across the globe. Thanks to this move, the WPT has added an important mainstream celebrity to its ranks, potentially drawing a new audience to the world-famous brand.
In addition to being a famous DJ, Aoki is also an avid poker player. He often plays against other celebrities, such as Dan Bilzerian. Last year, Aoki took part in several episodes of Poker After Dark, where Bilzerian himself kept him company.
According to available information, Aoki will be tasked will helping WPT increase brand awareness. Keeping in mind his influence on social media, that shouldn’t be much of a problem.
The new ambassador, a reputable musician and producer, is currently on tour across the US. He’s scheduled to perform at the TAO Chicago this Friday.
Aoki’s new partnership with WPT will include a charity poker event. Set to take place in mid-2022, the game will benefit the Aoki Foundation.
The non-profit organization has so far organized a number of events to raise funds for brain science and research. At this moment, there is no detailed information on the event itself.
WPT Season XX starts on January 21 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The full details for the first half of the new season were made available earlier this week, although additional tournaments can be added later.
Aoki has a vast poker experience that goes beyond his time on Poker After Dark.
