Peek Baccarat Review
Evolution Gaming is many things, but being lazy is not one of them. Most software providers might be satisfied with their current success, but not them. The company works hard to stay ahead of the competition, bringing on one revolutionary concept after another.
Their latest invention? Peek Baccarat, which gives players the option to change their minds after normal betting time ends.
This review was written based on a preview. The developer is still fine-tuning the details and how exactly the gameplay will look. We will update this review once more information becomes available.
* Peek Baccarat is still a work-in-progress, so the final game can be slightly different than described in this review.
Where to play Peek Baccarat (Evolution)?
We did not see any indications that Evolution plans to offer Peek Baccarat as a timed exclusive. For Canadians, this means they have a wide range of Canadian online casinos to choose from.
The only requirement is that the website offers Evolution games. Players can pick real money casinos based on casino bonusses, payment methods, casino games, and other important metrics. You can see our list of recommended online casinos listed below.
Every casino below has Evolution Gaming in its lobby, so the game on this page is playable there with a Canadian dollar account.

How to Play Peek Baccarat (Evolution)?
The fundamentals of Peek Baccarat follow the same baccarat gameplay we all know and love. Each round starts with a betting phase. Players place wagers on the outcome they hope will occur.
Standard wagers have to be placed before the betting timer runs out. Once it is over, the game proceeds to the next stage.
For most live baccarat releases, this would be the end of all wagering. However, that is not the case for this Evolution release!
Peek Baccarat allows players to change their minds after normal betting time ends. Even after some cards have been dealt, you can choose to change your wager around.
Casino members can enjoy the game as standard baccarat. Alternatively, they can choose to use the peek mechanic and give themselves an edge.
Peeking gives you a chance to see between one and three cards before finalizing your bet. However, peeking also increases your bet size. A 20% fee is applied to player or banker bets if you enable peeking.
Once all the cards are on the table, the round proceeds as usual. If needed, the host will draw additional cards for the player, banker, or both positions.
The result is determined by the total point value of each hand. An eight or a nine usually means a direct win.
If the cards in your hand go over nine, the first digit is removed. As an example, if your cards add up to twelve, your total points will be two instead.
Peek Baccarat (Evolution) features & betting options
The work-in-progress nature of Peek Baccarat means that we do not know what the final product will look like. We know the basic mechanics that are planned for the game.
Changing your wager as the round progresses will be possible. We assume changing your bet will mean losing part of its value. However, we have no way of checking that until Peek Baccarat launches. The same is true for how the peek mechanics will work.
Evolution has not mentioned if any extra bets will be added to Peek Baccarat. We assume some will make the cut.
Being only able to wager on player, banker, or tie bets would get boring quickly even with the available special features. Once we know more details, we will update this section accordingly.
Peek Baccarat (Evolution) RTP, volatility, minimum stake & maximum stake
At the time of our review, Evolution is still determining the exact minimum and maximum stake it plans to offer. Online casinos may adjust Evolution’s default values as well.
The planned RTP for Peek Baccarat is 97.85%. This is lower than Evolution’s standard live baccarat, though not by much.
A somewhat lower RTP for the game’s cool special features will no doubt be appealing for many players. However, only you can decide if the trade-off is worth it for you or not.
Peek Baccarat (Evolution) hints and tips
Until the gameplay and special features of Peek Baccarat are finalized, we cannot give out any tips for this game.
Final Thoughts
We do think Peek Baccarat has the potential to shake things up when it comes to live baccarat games. The premise alone sounds rather interesting: leaving us very impatient to try it ourselves.
However, the game is not quite yet ready to be launched in Canadian live casinos. Evolution is still working on this release.
This is all the information we have on Peek Baccarat right now. As it gets closer to release, we will revisit this review and update it with more information.
