RegionsDrake Donates $1 Million to Charity After a Big Win
Published: March 30, 2025
Apart from being a successful artist, Drake is known to enjoy some online gambling. The Canadian rapper often makes the headlines for winning (and losing) staggering amounts of money.
After a great night of playing in the live casino on Stake.com, one of the leading Bitcoin casinos, where he wagered on live roulette and won big, Drake shared a video on Instagram where he announced he had donated his winnings to charity.
He gifted $1.3 million in Bitcoin to the charity organization established by the NBA player LeBron James. The LeBron James Family Foundation focuses its time and resources on supporting families in James’ hometown of Akron, Ohio.
The organization pays special attention to education and other related initiatives whose goal is to improve the lives of children in this community.
But that’s not all, as Drake gifted around $125,000 to a high school basketball player named Michael and his mother. Michael is a rising star currently playing for the Royal Crown Academy in Toronto.
Speaking about his generous donation, Drake said:
Anytime I get blessed like that, I always think it’s good karma that needs to be transferred.
Together with James and the online casino, Drake organized a dinner for Michael and his mother and surprised both of them with a special gift.
