Funk Master Review
NetEnt calls its players to the 70s disco party with Funk Master, a promising slot due to release in April 2025. Enter the club full of shiny neon lights and fantastic funky music to hunt for riches. Players are bound to catch the Saturday night fever with the latest game from the prominent developer.
The Cluster Pays mechanic usually means big wins are in store for the punters. The officials have stated it will be a Wild-dominated game, but you should take every piece of information with a grain of salt before the release launches. The only sure thing is we are in for great entertainment.
- High volatility with a maximum win of 3,337x the stake
- Cluster Pays
- Avalanches, Multipliers and Free Spins
The graphics are fantastic and completely in tune with a 70s thematic party. Everything is shiny and glitzy; some would say it is even a little monotonous for all the symbols to be disco balls. However, when the lights blind you, fun is everything you need, and Funk Master has it in spades.
Only time will tell what all the features are, but there will be a few of them based on what we know. Wilds, Multipliers and Avalanches will generate the most significant wins, choosing straightforward gameplay over complicated features.
The online slot boasts one of the best soundtracks in the industry, totally in tune with the age in question. You are in for multiple pleasant surprises at this party.
Theme, Graphics and Sounds
While the visual aspect is not too original, it is highly appealing. A simple blue background wall and multiple glittering disco balls dominate the screen, accompanied by a beautiful soundtrack.
You know what to expect when the casino game is called Funk Master, and NetEnt duly delivers. The entire presentation is phenomenal, although it is hardly the best-animated game this provider has ever produced.
Become the king of the dancefloor as you chase the big wins. It is apparent payouts could have been more handsome, but the game still packs a good punch.
We have yet to find out the information about the paytable structure, but we can safely say the game will be thrilling. Various Disco Balls are all the symbols you will need on an 8×8 grid, and the game requires a number of them to form a cluster.
With the Avalanche effect, winning symbols disappear from the screen, letting the new ones fall into their places. It creates new winning opportunities, which is always exciting.
The provider has teased it will be the game with the most Wilds on screen in the industry. Hence, we expect them to create countless chances for the players. Bombs are Multipliers, while Dancing Wilds act like Scatters and trigger the Free Spins round.
In-game features
As mentioned, the gameplay revolves around various types of Wild symbols. А Dancing Wild can appear in the base game and the Bonus round, never disappearing from the grid when part of a winning cluster.
It falls into an adjacent empty field, horizontally, vertically or diagonally. When the Dancing Wild moves, it triggers the Avalanche effect.
Moreover, a Dancing Wild Hotspot is placed on the grid on each spin, highlighting a random 2×2 area. When icons within the square participate in a win, they turn unlocked. If the whole square becomes unlocked, players receive one Dancing Wild symbol.
Bombs are Multipliers, appearing anywhere in the base game and the Free Spins round. They are not a part of winning clusters, but they multiply the value of a winning spin by their own worth.
They can be worth x2, x3, x5 or x10. If two or more of them appear on the same spin, the win is multiplied by their collective values.
Funk Master Free Spins
Players can activate the Free Spins round by collecting three or more Dancing Wilds. They initially receive six spins, with the triggering Wilds remaining on the reels throughout the whole game.
During the Free Spins, the Hotspot is 3×3, while unlocking all positions brings two Dancing Wilds and expands the reels. They can go up to twelve rows. Finally, the Buy Feature is worth 125x the stake and guarantees the activation of the Free Spins round.
