Ozwin’s Jackpots Review
A magical quest awaits those brave enough to follow in the footsteps of a trapped mage. He will guide you through forests and ruins. Help him, and he will bestow vast riches on you! Do you have what it takes to claim Ozwin’s Jackpots?
- Five progressive jackpots
- Two ways of activating free spins
- A great 96.7% RTP
We were eagerly awaiting this online slot’s launch. The more we heard about it, the better it sounded to us. Progressive jackpots, multiple special features and an above average RTP all sounded great.
Especially when it was packed into Yggdrasil’s gorgeous visuals! We are happy to report that all of our expectations were met in this game. Available special features include jackpot free spins and the spell book bonus.
Theme, Graphics and Sounds
This release has a brief intro video that gives you the basics of its theme. You follow along with a young adventurer who is collecting magical shards.
These stones can be used to create powerful orbs, which unlock huge wins. The visuals are top notch, as we have come to expect from Yggdrasil.
The background image gives you plenty of details to admire while you are spinning the reels.
You play Ozwin’s Jackpots on a five-reel, three-row board. There are 20 fixed paylines total.
That means we cannot toggle individual paylines on or off as we like. Wins are awarded by landing at least three or more symbols next to one another.
These winning combinations must follow an active payline and start with the leftmost reel. Otherwise, no cash prize will be granted.
In-game features
The jackpot free spins round can be activated in two ways. The first way is rather straightforward.
You need at least three Scatters to grant ten free spins. Drawing four or five Scatters also grants a 1000 coin or 10,000 coin prize, respectively.
Another way to win free spins is by collecting coloured crystals. Players can find five different crystals, whose only difference is colour.
Each crystal colour corresponds to one of five progressive jackpots. Collect five identical crystal during normal gameplay to unlock ten free spins and a single orb. The crystals can be collected across multiple rounds.
Once free spins begin, players will benefit from a 3x multiplier to all payouts. It will also allow crystal orbs to appear on the board.
You need to collect five orbs with matching colours to win the corresponding jackpot. Orbs are not saved between free spins sessions. 3.4% of each bet contributes to the progressive jackpots.
Find three, four or five bonus icons during normal gameplay to unlock the spell book bonus. You are taken to a separate screen, where you can pick between eighteen different tomes.
Tomes can contain free spin crystals or cash prizes. The special feature ends when you draw the evil spell.

RTP, bet sizes and volatility
The fun does not stop with the detailed and rewarding special features. The RTP is also above the current industry average! This slot has an RTP of 96.7%, which is almost a whole percentage point above the norm.
You can bet between $0.20 and $40 on each spin. Players can change their wager by adjusting their coin value. This in turn changes the total stake.
We wish the betting range was slightly higher. Casual audiences will not run into any issues. However, high rollers may want to play bigger wagers.
With a progressive jackpot in play, we expected this game to have a high volatility. Instead, the variance straddles the line between medium and high.
It can be punishing at times, but it never gets too bad. This is partially owed to the numerous special features.
There is always something around the corner to top you up with smaller wins. Keeping your spirits high as you hunt the biggest prize of all!
Verdict
A lot of work went into making this release as fantastic as it was. The brief intro does wonders in explaining the premise of the story.
The awesome visuals further enhance it. The hunt for the crystals is incorporated into the special features flawlessly!
If you want the sorcerer’s treasure, you will need to help him finish his quest. The grand reward is not one, not two, but five progressive jackpots!
Ozwin’s Jackpots has a 4 out of 5 stars experience. A must play for any fan of big wins and lucrative special features.
