RegionsBetMGM appoints Chris Johnson as brand ambassador
Published: November 20, 2025
BetMGM, a top-tier sports betting and iGaming operator, has appointed a former NFL star, Chris Johnson, as its new brand ambassador. The ex-Titans and Cardinals star running back will feature in the company’s approaching promotions, social media content, fan events and marketing campaigns.
The athlete of his status will significantly contribute to the brand promotion. He is the first star running back to sign since the former Seahawks Pro Bowler Marshawn Lynch in July 2025.
Johnson will now have a new platform to socialize with his fans across the US. BetMGM is at the core of important sports betting events, and the agreement represents an opportunity for CJ2K to enter the industry.
It is a prospective activity in the US, and many star athletes are expected to benefit from the collaborations with prominent brands. Johnson is a big name in the NFL, making a considerable impact during a relatively short period of ten seasons.
He earned the nickname CJ2K in 2009 when he managed to rush for 2,006 yards playing for the Tennessee Titans. He is one of only eight players in the NFL history to rush over 2,000 yards in a single season.
BetMGM continues to expand its global footprint and strengthen its presence in the industry. The enterprise is among the most prominent sports betting operators, and adding CJ2K to its roster will surely boost its credibility.
Commenting on signing Chris Johnson, Matt Prevost, Chief Revenue Officer at BetMGM, has said:
Throughout his career, Chris Johnson thrilled fans with his performance on the football field, week in and week out. As we continue to expand BetMGM’s presence in Arizona and Tennessee, Chris will play a key role in helping us provide new and engaging experiences for our customers.
