BetMGM appoints Kevin Garnett as new brand ambassador
Published: October 30, 2025
BetMGM has announced the appointment of NBA celebrity Kevin Garnett as their new brand ambassador. The Hall-of-Famer will be starring in their promotions, social media posts, marketing campaigns and fan events.
The Big Ticket has played in the NBA for 21 years, wearing the jerseys of Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets.
He has had an impressive career, participating in 15 All-Star Games and winning the MVP Award in 2004. Add the Defensive Player of the Year (2004) and the NBA title (2008) in the mix, and you have a basketball legend.
Garnett will have his jersey number 5 retired by the Celtics next spring. Since his retirement, he has become an entrepreneur, branching out his successful career into multiple fields.
He has recently co-founded a content and gaming platform called Gaming Society that highlights education, inclusivity and underlines the athlete’s perspective regarding the sports betting sector.
While protected from sports betting as a player, KG now wants to make it more accessible to everyone. He has appeared in the Hollywood movie “Uncut Gems“ with Adam Sandler, and he has made a documentary “Anything Is Possible“. It should hit the theaters in November 2025.
BetMGM continues its expansion into new markets with a focus on responsible gaming education. The company takes pride in the efforts it makes to provide and promote regulated gaming.
Teaming up with a name like Kevin Garnett confirms the desire to stay on top of the industry regarding the sports business sector. Bearing in mind the Big Ticket has similar ambitions, this partnership is a natural fit and a good way to reach out to more customers.
Commenting on the deal, Matt Prevost, Chief Revenue Officer at BetMGM, stated:
Kevin Garnett brings a unique energy to everything he does, on and off the court. As the basketball season tips off, we look forward to welcoming Kevin to the BetMGM family and working with him on a variety of fan-focused promotions.
