RegionsGreentube acquires Novomatic-owned Capecod Solutions
Published: November 15, 2025
Greentube, a leading iGaming brand, has purchased Capecod Solutions, a part of Novomatic Italia for four years. The prominent supplier wants to expand its global footprint and particularly bolster its Italian market presence.
The acquisition will enable it to establish its position in the prospective Italian jurisdiction. The company desires to strengthen its geographical presence, particularly in Italy, through an enriched game library and product portfolio.
Greentube will look to boost Novomatic’s omnichannel strategy, for the supplier’s team of professionals wants to cement its front-running status. Moreover, Capecod’s games will become a part of the NovoElsy game library, so Novomatic’s land-based clients will be able to enjoy them.
The new online slots are expected to go live shortly, and the customers in the AWP segment will try them out soon. Greentube wants to fortify its status in online and land-based sectors and feels this purchase is a pivotal step ahead.
Capecod has been hugely successful in creating online slots that Italian people have loved. Taking the company under Greentube’s wing means reaching wider audiences and improving product quality for everyone involved. Furthermore, the company plans to enhance Capecod’s performance by extending its products, particularly games, to other jurisdictions.
Novomatic Italia will also supply its new titles to Capecod to secure the continuous influx of fresh releases for its customers. Both AWP and online clients will be pleased with the strategy, given the popularity of the games so far.
Commenting on the acquisition, Markus Buechele, CEO at Novomatic Italia, said:
It is an honour to be able to bring all of the know-how and experience gained in recent years through working with the renowned software house Capecod to the whole Novomatic AG Group. The acquisition is proof of the good work that has been achieved and the importance of investing continuously in technology and human resources.
