RegionsIGT Powerbucks Wheel of Fortune Pays $2.1 Million Jackpot
Published: March 26, 2025
Powerbucks, the popular slot release from International Game Technology, has awarded the third-largest jackpot prize in the history of this game. The progressive jackpot was paid out at Casino Nanaimo in British Columbia.
On February 24, a lucky slot fan hit a staggering $2,129,070 prize while playing Powerbucks Wheel of Fortune Cash Link Exotic Far East. The said British Columbia Lottery Corporation is operated by Great Canadian Gaming Corporation.
As we already mentioned, this is the third-largest jackpot delivered by Powerbucks since May 2020, when another Canadian hit the massive $2.2 million prize at OLG.ca, the gambling site operated by Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
Powerbucks is the first progressive jackpot slot that allows customers in British Columbia to become millionaires by playing the game at British Columbia casinos.
Available online and on mobile, Powerbucks comes with a static $1 million prize for anyone wagering $0.50 to $2.99 per spin, while a progressive jackpot is waiting for all those ready to spend $3 or more.
The progressive jackpot is available across several jurisdictions in Canada, which helps it increase faster.
Here’s what David Flinn, IGT‘s Senior Vice President Canada, South and Central America, said:
This significant jackpot marks yet another example of how Powerbucks is driving omnichannel jackpot excitement and differentiating our customers’ casinos across Canada. Since its Canadian debut with the BCLC, IGT’s industry-leading Powerbucks link has awarded more than 30 life-changing jackpots and continues to offer a distinguished variety of entertaining games and big wins throughout the country.
