RegionsPlaytech releases new live gameshow
Published: July 15, 2025
Established provider of gambling tech products, Playtech informed the public about the release of “The Money Drop Live” – based on the traditional Banijay-owned brand.
The newest game will be another addition to Playtech’s live casino portfolio, bringing the appeal of an already known TV series.
The Money Drop format is already popular across the globe, with the accent on the leading jurisdictions such as the United Kingdom, where it was known as The Million Pound Drop, and the £100k Drop, presented by Davina McCall.
The casino game been adjusted for more than 50 countries and players can instantly recognize its features.
The new game is yet another announcement of Playtech as part of its existing collaboration with Banijay Brands.
The former belongs to the international gaming producer Banijay. Before the Money Drop Live, two operators joined forces in creating Deal or No Deal The Big Draw.
Win up to 5,000x your bet
The new game from Playtech introduces a live dealer which spins the wheel, with different multipliers up to 5,000x.
Multipliers different from 8x will trigger the Drop Zones game, and players can choose the way for splitting their money while looking for a big win.
There are four Drop Zones and one of them is always safe, delivering winnings to a player. When the wheel remains on 8x, the Quick Drop game will be activated and customers need to place everything in a single Zone for “all or nothing”.
There is also a Card Clash bonus game, allowing players to earn boosted winnings thanks to the multiplier.
Speaking on the newest release, Head of Innovation at Playtech Live, Kevin Kilminster, said that Money Drop Live has an exciting and appealing format as well as experience-led gameplay that is usual for Playtech Live Casino.
The partnership with Banijay Brands is yet another opportunity for the brand to take the excitement to the next level.
Commercial Director of Gaming & Gambling at Banijay Brands, Lex Scott, said that his company is delighted to strengthen the deal with Playtech while delivering great gaming formats.
The Money Drop is internationally recognized game and favorite among gamblers. The combination of the legendary gameplay with Playtech’s live series will allow players to enjoy a unique live experience.
The Money Drop Live is now available at several Canadian online casinos that feature Playtech live casino games!
