Rich Diamonds: Hold and Win Review
The guys at Playson created this classic fruit-themed online slot with gaming features that sure can capture the player’s attention.
Rich Diamonds Hold and Win offers:
- Free Spins
- 3 In-Game Jackpots
- Bonus Game
Rich Diamonds: Hold and Win is a 5×3 grid slot that contains ten lines. As mentioned before, this slot doesn’t have some story behind it because the theme is not much different from the previous Playson games.
Still, with its features: Additional Free Spins, Bonus Game, Bonus symbols, Free Spins, Scatter symbols, and Wilds, you get a chance to win the 3 In-Game Jackpots. So, let’s dig in and see what else this slot offers!
Theme, Design, and Sounds
As we can see from the name of the game, the developer used classic symbols.
It is a simple slot machine with fruit symbols: plums, cherries, oranges, lemons, watermelons, and grapes, a Golden Star Scatter symbol, Red Sevens, Bells, and the Bonus Diamond symbol.
Overall, it has pretty much the same symbols as other slot games, so this isn’t the area where Rich Diamonds can stand out.
In-Game Features
The Red Seven symbols that act as a Wild can substitute any fruit symbols from the reels, and they can be used in a winning combination.
Even though they appear once, it is provided that it happens to be in the right spot.
The main focus in this slot is on the Bonus Game, which can be triggered by landing six or more Bonus Diamond Symbols on the reels.
At the beginning of the Bonus Round, the grid contains the Diamond symbols and blanks. What’s more important about this Bonus Game is that you get awarded with three re-spins.
Through this feature, you try to lock in new Diamonds so you can fill the reels. This Feature finishes once the reels are filled with Diamonds or when you run out of the re-spins.
After you complete the Bonus Round, you get paid, and the grid resets to the initial three rounds.
The most exciting part is the 3 In – Game Jackpots: Mini Worth, which is a 30x total bet, Major Worth – 100x total bet, and the Grand Worth that gives the player a chance to win up to 2,000x total bet.
The Grand Worth is triggered when the grid is covered with the Bonus symbols.
Rich Diamonds: Hold and Win Free Spins Feature
By landing 3 Golden Star Scatter symbols, you trigger 5 Free Spins. The second, third and fourth reel become one Huge symbol.
This Huge symbol can award you with a prize of up to 200x your total bet. But that’s not all!
As a Huge symbol can appear, any other symbol during the Free Spins feature, such as the Diamond symbol, which triggers the bonus round, and the Golden Star Scatter symbol, which retriggers 3 Additional Free Spins.

RTP, Bet Sizes, and Volatility
This slot machine has medium to high volatility that is combined with slightly lower RTP than the average one.
But the RTP of 95.52% doesn’t lower your chance for winnings.
The slot is capable of awarding you up to 1,200x your stake, but by winning the Grand Jackpot, you can win up to 2,000x your stake.
The minimum bet is $0.20, and the maximum bet is $100.

Verdict
This slot doesn’t offer much entertainment with its already seen theme and same symbols as in the previous Playson games.
The features sure can capture the player’s attention but not for a long time. The basic design could’ve been improved with something new and more captivating.
On the other hand, even though it has a lower RTP, the volatility and betting range aren’t disappointing. We give this game 3 out of 5 stars.
