The Falcon Huntress Review
Mongolia has a rich history that spans thousands of years. In that time, their culture has bloomed and changed. It is not as widely represented as other East Asian countries.
However, that did not stop Thunderkick from bringing The Falcon Huntress to life. Can this slot contest the dominance of China-themed games?
- 10052x jackpot
- Gameplay inspired by Book of Dead
- Beautiful graphics and animations
For many, Mongolia evokes the image of Genghis Khan. The man who conquered his way across all of Asia, and even control over parts of Europe!
However, there is a world of Mongolian culture not tied to the great conqueror. This is what the software provider decided to explore in this release.
Available special features include joint Wild-Scatter symbols and a free spins round with expanding wins.
Theme, Graphics and Sounds
We have to admit, Thunderkick made a great choice of theme. It gave their artists plenty of freedom to bring something incredible to our screens.
That familiar polish is present on every pixel. The tent, flame smoke and banners are all animated. They all shift and twist as the wind blows!
This extents to certain icons on the playing field, as well. In the distance, we can see lights illuminating other tents in the camp.
You play The Falcon Huntress on a five-reel, three-row board. The slot has nine fixed paylines, meaning we cannot toggle them on or off at will.
Wins are awarded by finding three or more identical symbols next to one another. All winning combinations have to follow an active payline and must start with the leftmost reel.
If you do not meet these conditions, you will not get the cash prize.
In-game features
As we mentioned earlier, Wilds and Scatters are combined into a single icon. These Wild-Scatters can substitute for any other symbol.
They also come with their own cash prize, which always makes them a worthwhile sight. However, their primary function is activating the other bonus in this game. Land three or more of them to win the free spins round.
During free spins, the expanding win special feature will become active. When a winning combination occurs, all symbols that were part of it will expand.
Each icon expands individually. You only get one expansion per symbol. All icons can be chosen to expand, except for the Wild.
The expanding win bonus is only available during free spins. You can unlock ten additional extra turns by landing three or more Wild-Scatters.

RTP, bet sizes and volatility
The RTP for this release is 96.1%. This is above the current industry average that sits at 96%. Not by much, but more than enough to make a subtle long-term difference.
You can bet between $0.10 and $100 on each spin. Players change their bet by clicking or tapping on the coin button.
This opens a separate screen, where all available bets are listed. Choose one of them and leave the menu to set the wager.
This is a good spread of bets overall. However, it is average compared to other Thunderkick slots.
The Falcon Huntress promises an impressive top prize of 10052x your total stake. Of course, achieving that kind of mouth-watering win will be difficult.
It requires incredible luck with the free spins and expanding win bonuses. As such, the developer classified it as a high volatility game. High risk, high reward. Do you have what it takes to win it?
Verdict
We came into this release cautiously optimistic. This software provider has yet to disappoint. However, Book-style slots are getting a bit dull.
Fortunately, we did not have to worry too much. Thunderkick put their own little spin on The Falcon Huntress.
While the inspiration is obvious, it is not blatantly stealing a popular set of mechanics.
Overall, this game earned 3 out of 5 stars. Not enough to dethrone the rise of China-themed titles, but more than enough to keep you entertained for days!
