If you’re looking for a movie-based themed slot, then this sequel to 2018 The Goonies might be the right choice for you.

The Goonies Return Offers:
- Modifiers
- Free Spins
- Multipliers
The guys from Blueprint Gaming developed a 5×3 grid online slot with 20 fixed pay lines. To make a winning combination, you need to land at least three matching symbols.
This follow-up to the previous slot comes with a bit more of everything. The incredible features that this slot offers are captivating for many, and they indeed spice things up.
The most significant change that Blueprint Gaming made is in the potential that is wanted by many. Read more about the thrilling slot in our review.
Themes, Graphics, and Sounds
The ’80s left behind different types of culture, fashion, and music, but it is more than certain that the movies had a huge impact. Same as the 2018 slot, the Goonies Return is almost the same.
The developers made some improvements with the graphics, which are more precise, and there are also more animations and voiceovers than before.
Behind the reels, you can see the treasure map, and even though there isn’t something more, the fantastic features compensate for things.
There are J-A card ranks for the low-paying symbols, and the medium paying ones consist of Chunk, Mouth, Mikey, and Data; its worth is between 10 and 15x the bet.
For the high-paying symbols, there is a skull ‘n’ crossbones. For five matching symbols, you get a payout of 25x your bet.
The game Wild symbol is represented by a Medallion logo, which substitutes all regular paying symbols, and it lands on every reel.
In-Game Features
The Goonies Return features are divided into 6-One-Eyed Willy modifiers and 6 Bonus Rounds. The modifiers trigger on any spin, after which the players choose from 3 keys.
As you choose one key, you get one of the modifiers. The Tripple Shuffle Wilds adds Wilds in random positions, and they can turn into multiplier Wilds.
With the Hidden Riches modifier, a Mikey Wild appears on the 3rd reel and any other symbol that lands on the reels can turn into a Wild.
In the W-invention Reels modifier, Data syncs up to 5 reels to show the same symbols. The players could get colossal symbols and symbols upgrades.
The Lucky Coins awards you with mystery coin symbols, and re-spins are granted as long as you land cash symbols.
Furthermore, the Bonus Boost adds bonus symbols on the reels, and last but not least, the Win Spin modifier guarantees a big winning spin.
The developer didn’t stop here; additional modifiers turn a losing spin into a winning one.
The Scythe resets the reels to a win, Shooting Spikes remove columns of symbols to make a win, Dynamite upgrades the win, and Cave Collapse removes symbols in view and makes place for new ones.
The players can trigger the One-Eyed Willy Bonus features by landing three bonus symbols. The Booby Trap Bonus offers a key that adds a cash value, ends the feature, or reveals another bonus game.
Another Bonus feature is the Waterslide to Wealth Bonus that collects increasing values of prizes. You can collect your prize and finish the feature, or you can go to the end and move to the Big Money Bonus Round.
The Goonies Return comes with a hold & win style feature, One-Eyed Willy Riches.
This feature comes with the following effects:
- Cash symbols with bet multipliers
- Mikey that awards a win multiplier
- Data increases the number of re-spins by 1
- Chunk adds his value to the other symbols
- Mouth collects every value that is displayed
- The One-Eyed Willy adds an extra column
- Sloth restarts the powers of the character symbols.
Blueprint Gaming surpassed its limits. They added the last two features to this thrilling slot. The Gamble feature makes an opportunity to collect or gamble any won feature.
If you choose to gamble, you can win better features or a Mystery Prize Win, which multiplies the bet. Last but not least is the One-Eyed Willy Exchange.
If the players win 15x the stake or maybe higher, they can collect the cash prize or win another Bonus feature.
The Goonies Return Free Spins
The slot comes with 3 Free Spins options.
The Skeleton Organ Free Spins awards the players 5 Free Spins stacked on each reel.
When a special symbol lands, the players pick a key that reveals a symbol, later applied to the Skeleton Organ Symbols. When the feature ends, Wild symbols appear, and you select one.
You can win additional Free Spins, another Bonus feature, or they can collect their cash prize and return to the base game.
Next is the Fratelli Free Spins. This option comes with 10 Free Spins, and on the last spin, in the place of the super Wild can land cash or a Wild symbol.
If you manage to land at least five cash symbols, another Free Spins feature starts. It starts with three spins that can reset as soon as cash symbols land.
At the end of the round, you get the chance to choose between 3 keys; you can win another Bonus feature, more Free Spins, or you can finish the feature by collecting the winnings.
The last option is Final Voyage Free Spins. The full Inferno Wild symbol moves one reel to the right on the following spins. On the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spin, the slot’s characters turn into Wilds.
After the 5th spin, each character is turned into Wild, and 5 Medallions appear. Again, you get to choose between ending the feature, winning the One-Eyed Willy feature, or additional spins.
