Themes, Graphics, and Sounds
Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah is a sequence to one of the most famous Microgaming slots – Thunderstruck 2. It is a Norse mythology-themed slot, which is located in Asgard. However, you won’t see anything else except a cold blue background.
On the reels, you will come across a bunch of rewarding symbols. They are divided into low-paying and high-paying symbols.
The lower-paying symbols consist of the well-known 9-A Royals, whereas the higher-paying ones include Viking ships, Asgard, and Norse mythology gods – Loki, Thor, Odin, and Valkyrie.
The most lucrative symbol is Thor, and he provides a payout of up to 16.67x the stake for five of his kind. The slot also comes with a Wild symbol that substitutes all regular paying ones and boosts your cash prize up to 33.33x the stake.
In-Game Features
The base game doesn’t provide much excitement except the Wild Storm feature. This feature triggers randomly. Once it is activated, Thor strikes the reels and changes 1-5 reels into Wild reels.
If you are lucky to have all five reels turn Wild, you will win the maximum payout of 8,000x the stake.
Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah Free Spins
The Free Spins feature is the same as in the original slot. The feature activates when you land at least 3 Thor’s Hammer Scatters.
For landing 2, 3, 4, or 5 Scatters, you will get 1, 2, 20, or 200 x stake, respectively. However, the unique part comes once you play the Free Spins more than once.
- The first 4 times, you will get access to the Valkyrie Free Spins feature. The Valkyrie Free Spins comes with 10 Free Spins and a multiplier of 5x. You can also win another 10 Free Spins.
- Next is the Loki Free Spins feature that activates after the 5th trigger. This option begins with 15 Free Spins, and you will benefit from a Wild Magic feature that randomly transform symbols into additional Wilds.
- 3rd is the Odin Free Spins feature, which is activated after the 10th trigger, and it is played with 20 Free Spins. When Odin’s Raven symbols appear, the Wild Raven feature triggers. Due to this feature, the symbols are transformed into 2x or 3x multipliers.
- Last is the Thor Free Spins feature. This option triggers after the 15th trigger and awards 25 Free Spins. By playing this feature, you will benefit from the Rolling Reels that increase the multiplier by 1x on every win.
Furthermore, the players can benefit from the Jackpot Bonus feature that activates randomly and provides 4 Jackpots.
Once it triggers, you spin a Wheel that awards Mini, Minor, Major, and Mega Jackpot, for which you’ll get at least $10, $100, $10,000, and $1 million. In April 2025, the Mega Jackpot provided a payout of a mind-blowing $19.4 million.

Thunderstruck II Mega Moolah is a medium volatile slot with an RTP of 92.01%, which is pretty surprising for Microgaming.
On the other hand, the hit frequency is very decent as it is 32.74%. Approximately one-third of the spins will be rewarding. The maximum win of 8,000x the stake can be yours for a minimum of $0.30 or a maximum of $24 per spin.

Verdict
Microgaming did an incredible job with the previous slot, but this one is a bit like copy-paste. It is far from bad. In fact, it is incredible, but it doesn’t come with anything new.
The best thing in this slot is the Mega Jackpot which varies over time and can bring you some fantastic wins. This slot brings plenty of excitement, so you should definitely give it a shot. We give this game 4 out of 5 stars.
