Tiki Runner 2 DoubleMax Review
Multiple providers have travelled to Hawaiian beaches to bring their players some Tiki entertainment and deliver memorable experiences. Such a relaxing atmosphere is a beautiful backdrop for the thrilling race that can bring massive payouts.
It has always been an attractive location to create slot magic, and the new release from Bulletproof Games confirms it. They have joined forces with Yggdrasil to create a highly entertaining slot.
Several attractive features come into play to deliver you hefty wins. The idea of grabbing significant amounts of cash while enjoying yourself on the beach sounds tempting, and you finally have a chance to do it.
- Medium-to-high volatility with a maximum win of 20,000x the stake
- Twenty paylines
- DoubleMax, Cascades, Encore Mode and Free Spins
Tikis have always provided a festive atmosphere, and the latest online slot is no exception. The graphics have a retro feel, with a wooden board and prominent symbols. Everything seems cartoonish, keeping things funny and light-hearted, but things become serious once the reels start spinning.
The audio-visual presentation is fantastic, with soothing tunes completing the picture. The features are pretty versatile, with the DoubleMax mechanic spicing things up. Cascades, Encore Mode and Free Spins contribute to the gameplay and improve the game’s playability.
Theme, Graphics, and Sounds
Tiki Runner 2 DoubleMax offers a pleasant beach-day atmosphere with a retro-style animation that has a modern touch. Giving fruit symbols the shape of a square is an original idea, and it looks nice.
However, we also saw it in the original casino game. The soundtrack is a collection of rhythms typical for Hawaii, complementing the story nicely. The entire audio-visual presentation is excellent, with the engaging gameplay to match.
It might look seemingly silly, but it has plenty to offer, from exciting features to handsome payouts. Slot lovers will relish the opportunity to enjoy the day on the beach while seeking fortune.
The action occurs on a standard five-reel game board with three rows and twenty paylines. The lower end of the paytable belongs to tropical fruits, with oranges and kiwis as the least lucrative symbols, granting 1x the stake for a five-of-a-kind win.
Pineapples and coconuts provide 1.2x for the same string, while watermelons give 2x. Moreover, three Tikis are premium symbols that award 2.5x, 3.5x and 5x the stake for a five-of-a-kind hit, respectively.
The most lucrative premium icon is the Tiki runner that can award Free Spins and awards 10x the bet for five on a payline. The grassy Wild symbol substitutes all the other icons when making a winning combination.
In-game features
The symbols disappear from the grid with every winning combination, and the new ones fall into their place. A Wild symbol will always be placed in one of the empty positions.
The feature lasts until the winning combos stop landing, so numerous winning opportunities exist. Moreover, successive cascading wins make the Tiki Runner dash along the Free Spins trail, triggering the DoubleMax.
The feature in question enhances the win Multiplier by x2 with no limit, excluding the win cap. The DoubleMax Multiplier resets between spins in the base game but not in the Bonus round.
Tiki Runner 2 DoubleMax Free Spins
The Free Spins round does not trigger with the help of specific symbols, for the game lacks classic Scatter icons. If at least five consecutive cascades appear in the base game, you can trigger the Bonus round.
Specifically, if you land five, six, seven or 8+ cascades in a row, you will receive seven, ten, twelve and fifteen Free Spins, respectively.
Additionally, the Tiki runner proves generous, too, awarding three, seven, ten, twelve or fifteen Free Spins if you land four, five, six, seven or 8+ consecutive cascades.
Furthermore, the DoubleMax feature provides the crucial difference, not resetting between the spins during the round.
Other surprises are available in this round, too, starting from the Encore Mode. You can activate it to reduce the frequency of Free Spins, but it will cost you 50% of the stake.
Organically, you can land the Bonus round once in 240 spins on average, but the new Mode drops the number to 110. It turns two positions on the cascade trail into respins.
Furthermore, if the gameplay is too slow for you, you can purchase the Bonus Buy feature. It will cost you 100x the stake to start from position seven on the Free Spins trail.
Before the round commences, players get a free respin, where cascades potentially increase the number of received Free Spins.

Tiki Runner 2 DoubleMax is an enchanting slot game that successfully mixes the best of everything. The creators have developed an unassuming game that sometimes gives out hefty wins.
The studio provides an interesting retro-looking title that encompasses modern features. Yggdrasil did a great job introducing all the elements, and this could be a fan favourite, though it is not perfect. We rate it 4 out of 5 stars.
