Das xBoot Review
Have you ever wondered how much gold was lost during World War II? Inspired by this question and the Das Boot movie, Nolimit City surprised us with this incredible slot. Find out if you’re lucky enough to win the unbelievable 55,200x your stake!
Das xBoot Offers:
- Free Spins
- Nudge Wilds
- Multipliers
Nolimit City is not a team of basic developers. They created a 6-reel grid online slot with a 2-3-4-4-3-2 formation. Depending on certain symbols, or the game phase, the 576 winning ways can increase to 75,712.
This slot comes with many extraordinary features: xBomb Wilds, xNudge Wilds, and xWays. The two Free Spins features are the main focus of the slot. If you can’t wait to start your treasure hunt, read our detailed review and give it a shot.
Themes, Graphics, and Sounds
Based on the German Das Boot movie, this slot comes with a war theme. The scene is set at the depths of the sea, where you can see a submarine.
The graphics are in a vintage comic style which adds the perfect dash to the atmosphere. Also, there is a slightly creepy and tense soundtrack that accompanies you through the casino game.
The low-paying symbols consist of 10-A Royals, whereas the high-paying ones of a crew member: a captain, a chef, a signaler, a mechanic, and a lieutenant.
The most rewarding of them all is the captain; for 3, 4, 5, or 6 in a combo, you’ll get 0.88x, 3x, 6x, or 20x the stake.
In-Game Feature
We’ll start this journey with the xNudge Wild feature. This Wild is a 4-row high gold medal, which lands only on the 3rd and the 4th reel.
With every Nudge, the Wild multiplier increases by 1x. If you land Nudge Wilds on both the 3rd and the 4th reel, then the multiplier values are added together.
Next, there is the xWays silver medal that lands on the 2nd and the 5th reel. This symbol reveals a random regular paying symbol. You can land 2-3 symbols in the place of the xWays, which gives you a bigger opportunity to win.
Another Wild symbol is the xBombs, substituting every symbol except the Bonus ones. The symbols that aren’t part of the win explode, leaving gaps for new symbols to fall in—the multiplier increases by one before the subsequent collapse.
Das xBoot Free Spins
By landing three Radar Bonus symbols, you trigger the first Free Spins feature, the Silent Hunter Spins. You get eight Free Spins, and then the 3rd reel alters to make the grid look like a U-boat.
If you land a Periscope Wild win, it initiates a torpedo launch sequence. With hitting the target identified in the Periscope, the Periscope Wild nudges down from the top position to fill the reel.
With each nudge down, the multiplier increases by 1. What’s more, with every Bonus symbol that lands during the Silent Hunter Spins, the players are awarded additional two Free Spins.
The other Free Spins feature, the Wolf Pack Spins, triggers as soon as you land four Radar Bonus symbols. By receiving the eight Free Spins, appears a torpedo tube.
When a Torpedo Wild symbol lands on the 2nd and the 5th reel, it’ll bring an xWays symbol. As you fill the Torpedo, the first Torpedo Wild will land two xWays symbols.
You get the same options as above by landing a Torpedo Wild on the 3rd and the 4th reel. The only difference is, an xWays Wild is added to the Torpedo, and the first Torpedo land xWays Wilds.
On the 2nd and 5th reel, the xWays symbols alter to regular ones and split in the number of ways as collected. The xWays on the 3rd and 4th reel transform into Wilds.
They then split in the number of ways as they were collected. With each Torpedo launch, a sticky win multiplier is awarded, and the multiplier increases by 1. Extra Bonus symbols award you with additional two Free Spins.
