How to Play Dragon Tiger Live (Pragmatic Play)?
Dragon Tiger is one of the simplest casino games you’ll ever play. As we mentioned before, this is an Asian-themed game.
If you know anything about Chinese mythology, you’re aware of how the Dragon and Tiger are the two most respected animals in China.
By playing this title, you’re basically betting on which card has the highest number between the Dragon and the Tiger.
Or, if the cards drawn on either the Dragon or Tiger have the same value, which is otherwise known as a tie. Call it the battle of the beasts!
So, in a nutshell, you have four main betting options namely:
- Dragon
- Tiger
- Tie
- Suited Tie
While the above mentioned constitute the main betting options, players can also place side bets namely:
- Dragon/Tiger Odd – You win if you predict the card value to be A, 3, 5, 9, J, or K.
- Dragon/Tiger Even – You win if you predict the card value to be 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, or Q.
- Dragon/Tiger Big – You win if you predict a card value of 8 or higher will be dealt to the corresponding side.
- Dragon/Tiger Small – You win if you predict a lower card value will be dealt to the corresponding side.
- Dragon/Tiger Red – You win if you predict that a red card will be dealt to the corresponding side.
- Dragon/Tiger Black – You win if you predict that a black card will be dealt to the corresponding side.
So, to kick off the game, the betting window is open and lasts only 12 seconds! Players need to use this small window to place their bets as quickly as possible.
While you place your bets, the live dealer draws two cards and places one on the Dragon section and the other under the Tiger section.
In Baccarat, these betting options are referred to as the player or banker. Once the betting window closes, the live dealer reveals the two cards.
The dealer proceeds to announce the results. If you predicted that the Dragon card will be higher than the Tiger card, and you’re correct, you win the round.
The opposite applies. If you predict that the Tiger card will be higher than the Dragon card, and your predictions are correct, you win the game round.
Or, as mentioned, you can predict that both cards will have the same value (a tie), and if you’re correct, you win the round. That concludes a game round, and the next one begins!
Dragon Tiger Live (Pragmatic Play) features & betting options
Pragmatic Play went all out to design the Dragon Tiger live gaming studio. True to its Asian theme, the studio is lavishly decorated with the two celestial golden creatures flanking the beautiful female host.
The slick user interface is a breeze to navigate for any gamer regardless of gaming experience.
Apart from the stunning and catchy visuals, the studio comes complete with subtle sound effects to make the experience more engaging and lively.
You’ll find the necessary buttons so you can place your bets or adjust your wagering amounts as you see fit.
The software provider also displays useful information, including the minimum and maximum betting stakes, payout table, detailed betting history of the player, and total bets placed.
You’ll also find a live chat platform, just in case you want to interact with the live dealer at any point in the game.
An autoplay feature is also present that allows you to play the game automatically, making the next game rounds go even faster.
Players can expect to enjoy an immersive multi-camera experience thanks to the four cameras available for better viewing.
Pragmatic Play Dragon Tiger uses HTML technology, making it available on desktop or mobile for your gaming convenience.
What has to be the icing on the cake for avid gamers is the game is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
With regards to the main features, the expert live hosts top the list and are responsible for courteously leading you through the game.
Also, one of Pragmatic Play’s Dragon Tiger game’s notable features is that the dealer burns cards after each round.
In essence, you can’t use the same card markings you used in the previous round to give you an advantage in the next game round.
All side bets of Pragmatic Play Dragon Tiger have a 1:1 payout while the main betting options payout stand as follows:
- Dragon – 1:1
- Tiger – 1:1
- Tie – 11:1
- Suited Tie – 50:1
Dragon Tiger Live (Pragmatic Play) RTP, volatility, minimum stake & maximum stake
Dragon Tiger is among the most flexible games designed to accommodate gamers with different bankrolls.
You only need as little as $1 to participate. The maximum betting stakes can be as high as $10,000.
The Pragmatic Play Dragon Tiger live casino game has a theoretical 96.27% RTP when playing the main betting options.
The side bets have a lower Return to Player percentage of 93.31%.
Dragon Tiger Live (Pragmatic Play) hints and tips
Dragon Tiger closely follows the Baccarat gameplay, making it purely a game of chance.
Though very much simple and straightforward, it’s not unheard of to approach this card game armed with a couple of hints and tips.
But what you’ll like about Dragon Tiger is it accommodates players with different gaming styles.
If you’re more of a go with the wind kind of gamer, you’ll do yourself a world of good by sticking to Dragon or Tiger bets.
That’s because these bets have a lower house edge compared to side bets, less risky, and pay even money.
Players who thrive on strategy can go with the suit-based strategy. With this strategy, you’ll have to keep a close eye on which suits have been dealt, and the number of decks used.
If you prefer counting cards, you can also count the number of big/small cards or odd/even cards dealt, etc. Since a small number of cards are dealt in each round, this strategy may be easy enough to pull off.
Whichever gaming strategy you go with, avoid the Tie bets. The same tip rings true in Baccarat and also in Dragon Tiger Live.
Why? Though Tie bets have a high and attractive payout, the house edge is pretty high, making these bets risky. Finally, remember to play for fun and also keep track of your bankroll.
Final Thoughts
Pragmatic Play Dragon Tiger Live is a simple card game that’ll keep players entertained for hours.
It’s high-paced and will appeal to gamers looking for a quick card game when they have a few moments to spare.
You’ll love the game for its simplicity, and if you do nail the Suited Tiet bets, the rewards are exceptional.
The state-of-the-art gaming studio is alluring, and the interface is pretty intuitive. Navigating the interface will be a breeze for any player.
Thanks to the flexible betting limits, both recreational and avid gamers will feel right at home while playing this card game.
Pragmatic Play will definitely get gamers talking with this simple but appealing card game.
