No Commission Baccarat Review
Baccarat has always been one of the most popular casino games among high-rollers, especially in Asia. The game simply has a certain air of mystique and exclusivity that’s associated with high-stakes VIP rooms.
But, ever since James Bond played the game on-screen, the game has been revealed to be one of the simplest contests to bet on and play. The game also has quite an excellent RTP.
While Baccarat has exploded in popularity, the extra 5% charge for banker bets remains an elephant in the room.
With No Commission Baccarat, Evolution Gaming not only removes this frustrating 5% fee but also adds an exciting range of potentially lucrative side bets, including the Super 6 and Pairs.
How does No Commission Baccarat stack up against traditional baccarat?

How to Play No Commission Baccarat?
No Commission Baccarat follows the same core gameplay that you’d get with the traditional game variant.
Before each round begins, players have to choose their coin sizes and place their wagers on the Player, Banker, or Tie.
Evolution Gaming allows you to see the number of players that would have wagered on each option. If you’re not sure what to play, you can always go with the crowd.
Unlike with the traditional baccarat variant, you don’t have to pay a 5% commission for the Banker bet. When players have all placed their bets, the live dealer draws 2 cards on both sides.
The cards are drawn face-down, then flipped over after a few seconds. The side whose card value is closest to, but not over 8 or 9 wins the round.
When playing No Commission Baccarat, aces are worth 1 point. Face cards and 10s are worth 0 points, and number cards are worth their original value.
By adding the value of your 2 cards, you’ll get your total amount of points. If your hand exceeds the value of 9, its value will be worth the last number.
For example, a 5 + 8 = 13 hand will be worth 3 in No Commission Baccarat.
If neither side scores a natural 8 or 9 win and the Player hand is worth less than 5, a third card may be drawn. The Banker third hand is, however, a bit more complicated.
The live dealer is guided by the following rules:
- If the Banker has a score of 2 or less, the dealer will always hit.
- For a score of 3, they’ll hit unless the Player’s third card was an 8.
- For 4, they’ll hit only if the Player drew a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7.
- For a 5 score, they’ll hit if the Player drew a 4, 5, 6, or 7.
- For a 6, they’ll hit if the Player has 6 or 7.
- For a score of 7, they’ll always stand.
Once all the play is complete, the points are calculated, compared, and the winning box is announced.
In case of a tie, both bets push, unless the player had placed a Tie bet, in which case, they win.
There are also several side bets that players can stake their money on, such as the Super 6 and Pairs.
No Commission Baccarat features & betting options
Evolution Gaming is currently the undisputed live casino game development industry leader, a position they’ve claimed by creating the best games for years.
As such, players are guaranteed the ultimate immersion through high-quality video streaming from multiple camera angles.
Depending on your internet connection speed, you can play No Commission Baccarat in low, medium, high and even HD quality video streaming.
Besides the video quality, players can also adjust the volume for game sounds and dealer’s volume. The chic white and red studio background and the live dealer’s outfit are designed to radiate a Chinese atmosphere.
The live dealers, which you can engage via live chat, are friendly and professional. Evolution Gaming also ensured that the betting controls expand to facilitate wagering and shrink to allow players to see the table better.
As mentioned before, when you’re playing No Commission Baccarat, you won’t have to pay a 5% fee on Banker bets.
However, when you win the Banker bet with 6, you’ll get a 0.5:1 return.
- Player wins pay out 1:1.
- Banker wins other than 6 pay out 1:1.
- Tie wins pay out 8:1.
No Commission Baccarat also offers some potentially lucrative side bets.
- The Super 6 Side Bet pays 15:1 when the Banker scores a 6.
- Player Pair pays 11:1 when the Player bet draws a pair.
- Banker Pair pays 11:1 when the Banker bet draws a pair.
- Perfect Pairs pays 200:1 when either the Banker or Player gets a perfect pair (same card, same suit).
When a Player or Banker bet wins by 4 points, you’ll get a 1:1 return. If you, however, win by 9 points, you’ll get a 30:1 return.
No Commission Baccarat RTP, volatility, minimum stake & maximum stake
No Commission Baccarat has a decent 98.76% RTP for the main game Player Bet, in comparison to 98.94% for classic baccarat. While the difference is minimal, it’s still present.
The game is considered a low volatility variant. The RTPs for other side bets are:
- Player and Banker Pair: 89.64%
- Perfect Pair: 91.95%
- Super 6: 86.18%
- Player Bonus: 97.35%
- Banker Bonus: 90.63%
At most top-rated online gaming platforms, players can place a minimum stake of $1 per round. High rollers that want to take the No Commission Baccarat experience as far as it can go can bet up to $15,000 per round.
No Commission Baccarat hints and tips
Besides having a reputation for being an esoteric game, baccarat is quite a simple game. You don’t have to know a lot to play as well as the most seasoned players.
If this were traditional baccarat, we would recommend that you bet on the Banker. That’s because the Banker bet has a 1.06% house advantage, while the player has a 1.24% edge.
A tie typically has a very bad 14% house edge. It’s a simple matter of math.
The figures, however, change when we’re dealing with No Commission Baccarat.
The Player and Tie bet edges are the same. Unfortunately, the Banker bet now has a 4.07% house advantage. As such, we recommend that you bet on the Player every time.
The board may show recent results for other players who’ve won on side bets, but as every hand is essentially independent, it doesn’t mean you’ll win by placing similar bets.
Final Thoughts
While baccarat is one of the most enjoyable and popular table casino games online. Granted, there isn't much in the way of strategy to speak of.
The game is so simple that players may think it may quickly get boring. But between the mystical aura that surrounds baccarat tables, the relaxed pace of play, and the decent house edge, the game can produce unforgettable sessions.
The only proverbial fly in the ointment is the 5% commission on the Banker bet. Evolution Gaming’s No Commission Baccarat attempts to balance the scales by scrapping this fee. But why would casinos renounce this lucrative source of revenue?
Well, the house makes up for the loss by paying a 0.5:1 return if you get 6 on the banker bet. Because of this slight change, the RTP for this bet reduces from 98.94% for classic baccarat to 98.76%.
The difference is subtle, so which game you decide to play comes down to your own preferences.
