Avalon Gold Review
Who hasn’t heard about the famous story of the sword of King Arthur? Avalon Gold takes you on an exciting adventure that provides a maximum win of 25,000x the stake!
Avalon Gold offers:
- Expanding Symbols
- Free Spins
- X-iter Feature
Avalon Gold is a 6-reel slot that has 4-8 rows, depending on the feature. Due to this, the grid may have 4,096 or a maximum of 262,144 winning ways. To create a win, the players need to land at least three matching symbols across one of the pay lines.
As soon as you land a win, you will get the chance to play one of the many features the online slot provides. In continuance, you can read our detailed review and learn more about this slot.
Themes, Graphics, and Sounds
A subtle Celtic-inspired soundtrack puts the finishing touches on an impressively thought-through depiction of Avalon. It may be seen behind the game grid when symbols fall in and out. However, you won’t see many graphics behind the reels, as almost the whole screen is the grid.
On the reels, the players will come across low-paying, middle-paying, and high-paying symbols. The lower-paying symbols consist of J-A Royals, whereas the higher-paying ones are depicted by three masks and Kane. Besides these two groups, the middle-paying symbols are represented by four decorated animals. The symbols list is wrapped up with the Wild symbol that substitutes all regular paying symbols.
In-Game Features
Avalon Gold is really a slot that is filled with all kinds of features, so let’s get down to business.
Avalanche Feature
The Avalanche feature removes winning symbols from the grid. An additional row of symbols is added to the reels when symbols drop to fill in the gaps. Up until a maximum height of 8 rows, successive avalanches keep adding rows. When there are no more victories in the main game, the grid resizes to its standard size for the subsequent spin.
Big Symbols
Big Symbols, which appear in 2×2, 3×3, or 4×4 sizes, are another frequent occurrence. Any regular pay symbol or Mystery Box serves as a Big Symbol, and each one counts toward the total number of 1×1-sized versions. If there are any blank spaces beneath Big Symbols, those gaps are filled with the Big Symbol’s type of symbol.
Expanding Symbols
A gold frame may be placed on top of a symbol when it lands. If spaces appear above these symbols, a number of growing wild symbols will fill the vacant spaces.
Mystery Boxes
When at least five Mystery Boxes are visible, they activate. Mystery Boxes can appear anywhere on the reels. Mystery Boxes open to show a paying symbol, a wild symbol, or to start the Avalon features when they are enabled. The Avalon features are the Coin, multipliers, Swiper, Collect, and Redrop. The Coin and the multiplier display a multiplier and multiply the revealed coins.
Furthermore, the Swiper adds the number one in front of the coin value. For example, the 8 would become 18. The Collect feature collects all coins and also reactivates the already used Mystery Boxes. Last but not least, the Redrop guarantees retriggering of the Mystery Boxes that are on the grid.
Avalon Gold Free Spins
When 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters land to grant 10, 15, 20, or 25 Free Spins, respectively, the bonus round is activated. Mystery Boxes in free spins remain active until they are triggered between free spins.
As before, activation requires at least 5, and after the Avalon feature is complete, Mystery Boxes are taken away. The grid is four rows high when the round begins. The safety level rises one row after a winning spin, and the subsequent free drop fills the grid to the new safety level, which can be up to eight rows high.
X-iter Feature
The X-iter feature is great for impatient players that don’t want to wait. You can activate the Big Symbol, Expanding Wild, Mystery Boxes, Bonus, and Super Bonus for 5, 10, 50, 100, and 500x the stake, respectively.
