Easter Island 2 Review
After the success of the original Easter Island, a sequel was inevitable. The two stone heads have decided to celebrate their success with a trip to tropics.
Whistle along with them as we enjoy the beach, the fireworks and the seagull’s antics. Can the sequel live up to the magic of the original online slot?
- Beautiful animations
- 2500x jackpot
- Symbol Swap re-spins make a return
Yggdrasil seems to comfortably breeze past any reasonable standard for what good graphics are. Their visuals are always well ahead of everyone else, and they show it off in this casino game.
Of course, graphics are just one part of the equation. It also comes with icon swap re-spins, colossal re-spins and expanding reel special features!
Play it well, and this humming duo will help you score a 2500x jackpot.
Theme, Graphics and Sounds
We are not sure we have seen animations this smooth in any other release before. Wind constantly shifts and shakes palm trees.
The two Moai statues are either reacting to your wins, or singing along with the music if you are idle.
A seagull occasionally pops in to check things out, and even ends up sucked into the reels at times. Fireworks shoot off into the sky after every win.
Yggdrasil put so many details into Easter Island 2. We will let you discover some of them for yourselves!
The slot has a six-reel, four-row board with twenty-five paylines. Under the right circumstances, the playing field can increase to a 6×8 size with fifty-five winlines.
You score wins by finding at least three matching symbols next to one another. All wins must follow an active payline and start with the leftmost reel. Otherwise, the relevant cash prize will not be paid.
In-game features
If you like frequent special features, you will adore this game. All bonuses are activated by landing wins. Any three-of-a-kind win will unlock the Symbol Swap Re-spins.
Winning low pay symbols will replace all other low value icons with the winning symbol. The same thing happens with high pay icons.
The substitution only lasts for the single awarded re-spin. It increases your odds of winning, but you are not guaranteed to earn a prize.
Land a four, five or six-of-a-kind win to earn a 2×2, 3×3 or 4×4 colossal block alongside symbol swap re-spins.
The better the win, the bigger the colossal block will be. Furthermore, the curious seagull will be sucked into the reels during these colossal re-spins.
That means colossal Wilds can appear in the space where colossal blocks can show up. Like before, this does not guarantee a second win. However, it makes it far more likely to happen.
A six-of-a-kind win will also unlock the expanding reels special feature. The playing field will increase in size, now consisting of six reels and eight rows.
The number of paylines also increases from twenty-five to fifty-five. This lasts for a single re-spin and returns to normal on the subsequent spin.

RTP, bet sizes and volatility
The RTP for this release is 96%. Incidentally, that is also the average RTP across all available slots on the market. Intentional decision or just a happy accident? We will let you decide.
You can bet between $0.25 and $300 on each spin. Players do not change their total wager directly.
Instead, you adjust your coin value and that changes how much you stake per spin. Use the plus and minus arrow buttons on the screen to browse through all available bets.
Even with frequent bonus activations, Easter Island 2 can pack quite a punch. The top prize you can win is 2500x your total stake.
This top prize is higher than the original title. We find it to be a perfectly acceptable jackpot.
It matches well with the medium variance this game offers. It feels like something you could actually pull off with a little bit of luck.
If you want to play this slot at a safe and reliable online casino, we recommend you try out Winny Casino.
Verdict
We were half tempted to keep gushing about the visuals in the verdict, too. However, we will restrain ourselves for your sake.
Yggdrasil stays ahead of the curve on that front, and offers an awesome, feature-heavy experience with its gameplay.
Easter Island 2 is the title you play when you want to have fun. Each spin has a new bonus right around the corner.
Not only does this slot live up to the original, it surpasses it in every aspect. We rate this game 4 out of 5 stars.
