Pop Review
People may grow up, but they never outgrow their love of balloons. They can keep us occupied for hours as we lazily bounce them around the room.
Until inevitably, one wrong bounce makes them Pop. Will Big Time Gaming’s latest online slot burst like a balloon, or will it soar above the clouds?
- 66,960x jackpot
- Reactions allow for multiple wins in one spin
- Free spins with multipliers
Imagine the perfect evening out by the pier. You have gone past many stalls, ridden the Ferris wheel and had an overall grand time.
With just four reels and four rows, it may not seem like it will be very exciting. Something the developers quickly prove wrong with reactions, rainbow Wilds and a free spins special feature.
If that is not enough, players also stand to win up to 66,960x their total stake in wins.
Theme, Graphics and Sounds
The game shows you do not need flashy, over-the-top visuals to look good. All the elements you see here are very down to earth.
What sets this release apart from other titles is having so many high quality animations.
The sunset and spinning Ferris wheel look gorgeous. As do balloons that Pop and make room for new ones to appear.
Finally, we appreciate the not so subtle reference to Donuts, another Big Time Gaming slot.
You play this game on a four-reel, four-row board with 256 ways to win. The system replaces standard paylines, and makes forming wins easier.
Now, you only need three or more matching symbols in adjacent positions that start with the leftmost reel. You do not need to follow any set paylines to form wins, which makes it easier to earn prizes.
In-game features
One of the best additions to this release is the introduction of reactions. After a win, symbols that were part of the combination will pop and disappear.
From there, only balloons will move float upwards to fill any empty spaces on the board. This makes forming wins with balloon symbols more likely.
Reactions continue so long as new wins keep being formed. When that is no longer possible, you receive your cash prize.
Rainbow Wilds can appear during normal gameplay. They can appear as plain Wilds, or with an attached multiplier.
The multiplier goes up to 4x. If several multipliers are part of the winning combination, they are all taken into account when boosting the payout. During normal gameplay, Wilds can only float up on reels two and four.
Pop Free Spins
Land three coin Scatters anywhere on the playing field to win twelve free spins. Furthermore, each Scatter position has a chance of getting a sticky background multiplier.
The multiplier ranges from 2x to 4x. On top of that, all positions on the playing field have the potential to get a sticky background multiplier of their own.
You can unlock new background multipliers or boost existing ones by landing balloon and Wild wins. This will create or increase the multiplier value of at least one position on the playing field.
These sticky background multipliers only apply their win increase to balloon wins. When a royal symbol lands on the background multiplier, it covers the multiplier up. Effectively ‘hiding’ the effect until the next spin.
Players can win three more free spins by getting three additional Scatters during free spins.
Landing three Scatters also increases the multiplier value of one sticky background multiplier. The multiplier increase ramps up with the number of retriggers.

The RTP for this slot is 96.54%. This is above the current industry average, which sits at 96%.
Casino members can bet between $0.10 and $20 on each spin.
You change your wager by using the left and right arrow buttons on the user interface. Click or tap on them until you find the stake that suits you, and then you can start spinning.
On top of having an above average RTP, the jackpot for this game is incredible. The potential of this high volatility release is fantastic, allowing you to win up to 66,960x your total stake.
Mind you, the odds are severely stacked against you. If you are bold and persistent though, Lady Luck may smile on your efforts.
Verdict
A relaxed atmosphere combined with a mouth-watering jackpot makes for a rather interesting mix. The visuals are awesome, and we would expect nothing less from Big Time Gaming.
The four-reel, four-row board is also novel, especially with reactions and free spins being as they are.
If you want a highly volatile title with massive win potential, Pop will be an awesome pick for you. We rate this slot 4 out of 5 stars.
