Temple Tumble 2 Dream Drop Review
The developers from Relax Gaming have recently said they will not create classic Jackpot slots anymore. However, they have changed their minds in the meantime, releasing a lucrative adventure, Temple Tumble 2 Dream Drop.
It is the first in the Dream Drop series, so the creators hope it will be a smash hit. Go on a risky journey that could bring a lot to the brave, including one of the five Progressive Jackpots.
Add some great features into the mix, and you have a new and exciting title on your hands. Slot enthusiasts will have a blast exploring the exciting features and chasing the Mega Jackpot that maxes out on $10m.
- High volatility with a maximum win of 10,045x (without Jackpots)
- 46,656 paylines
- Cascades, Free Spins and Jackpots
The graphics of this online slot are sharp and crisp, with the provider opting for a polished retro look, mixing the old and the new. In addition, the fast-paced gameplay is straightforward, despite many modifiers and a few attractive features.
The Jackpot slots’ usual drawbacks apply here, from a low RTP to a weak maximum win compared to the potential. However, it is indubitably a great game that will find a larger audience, for Jackpots are attractive to everybody.
Temple Tumble 2 Dream Drop is a promising beginning to the series, and we will follow the rest to see what they will do. Multiple winning opportunities are in store for tenacious and fearless players.
Theme, Graphics and Sounds
We are already used to Relax Gaming delivering visually impressive games, one of the best in the industry in that segment. Temple Tumble 2 Dream Drop is not precisely the most beautifully designed game in the field, but it is still a great title to look at.
The audio aspect is also good, completing an altogether pleasant experience. Mixing the old concepts and relatively new features has brought excellent results.
The studio delivers a satisfying gaming experience, where it does not introduce anything particularly revolutionary, but it starts a new series.
It might or might not be the company’s future, so it is worth following. Do you have what it takes to explore the extravagant habitat and take the loot home?
The adventure plays out on a 6×6 game board with 46,656 ways to win. Land three to six matching symbols on adjacent reels to grab a win.
The lower end of the paytable begins with four royals (J-A) that grant 0,2x the bet for a six-of-a-kind win. The rest includes four gems in different colours as mid-tiers, paying 0.5x the stake for six at most.
Finally, the highest-paying icons are a Golden Skull and a Cobra, paying 0.6x and 1x the bet for six. The Male and the Female Explorer are Wild symbols that replace all the regulars in winning combinations. Moreover, a Stone Block and a DD symbol have particular properties.
In-game features
Three to twenty-four icons dropping down on every spin are empty blocks. The cascades come after every win, removing winning symbols and letting new ones fall into their places, destroying adjacent blocks.
Players receive six free spins when all blocks are destroyed during a spin. Three extra spins are awarded throughout the feature whenever all symbols and blocks are removed.
Any base game spin can randomly land a DD Jackpot Entry Spin. One such symbol on each reel moves the players to the Jackpot round. The Jackpots include Rapid, Midi, Maxi, Major and Mega (seeds $1, $5, $100, $25,000 and $500,000, respectively).
Five reels of different heights appear, each holding a Jackpot prize above. Stone blocks and DD symbols land on the reels, with Blocks destroyed and the icons falling down. The first reel that fills with the DD symbols awards the appropriate Jackpot.
The Jackpots are progressive, meaning they grow while feeding the pots. Certain Jackpots have must-win sums, including the Major (before $50,000) and the Mega (before $1m).
Every other time someone wins the Mega, it enhances the limit for $500,000 until it reaches $10m.
Temple Tumble 2 Dream Drop Free Spins
We explained how to activate the Bonus round, where you can choose between three modes. The first gives you Multipliers and extra spins, increasing the Multiplier by x1-x3 when destroyed and adding one to three spins.
The second has Persistent Wilds with five lives when annihilated. Additionally, Fire Transform Blocks turn into a paying symbol that turns one icon in the following cascade into a matching one.
Finally, the third mode contains Multipliers, Extra Spin Blocks, Persistent Wilds and Fire Transform Blocks.

RTP, bet sizes and volatility
Even for a Jackpot slot, the RTP is too low, standing at 94.8%, well below the industry average.
The hit frequency amounts to 21.42%, which is “not great, not terrible “, meaning approximately every fifth spin will bring a win. Looking at the other parameters, it could have been better and worse.
Numerous betting options are available, starting from $0.20 as the lowest possible bet. The highest value you can place amounts to $100, appealing to high rollers and casual players alike. Set the preferences as you like, push the button and enjoy the game.
The game has medium volatility, meaning it should give decent wins at regular intervals without too many thrilling sequences.
Still, we would not say the game is not exciting; on the contrary. The Cascades and other features contribute to the tempo and quality, making the game continuously engaging.

Verdict
Temple Tumble 2 Dream Drop is not without its problems, but we appreciate the attempt to launch a new series. It is an adventurous combination of old features and contemporary elements, blending into a seductive mix.
When you add five Jackpots to the mix, the results are phenomenal. We will see how popular this game will be, but we think it has potential. We rate it 5 out of 5 stars.
