Sumo Sumo Review
Suppose all of you have heard about sumo wrestlers. ELK Studios took these wrestlers as an inspiration and developed a slot that brings up to 25,000x the stake!
Sumo Sumo Offers:
- Multipliers
- Free Spins
- SpeedBoat Bonus
Sumo Sumo is a 5×5 grid slot that comes with 259 winning ways. In order to create a win, you need to land at least three matching symbols from left to right.
Then, you’ll enter one action world in which you may benefit from various features, such as SpeedBoat Bonus, Free Spins, multipliers, Bonus Buy, etc. If we have your attention, keep reading our detailed review below.
Themes, Graphics, and Sounds
Players for the base game hang out in a shady back street, distant from the ecstatic fans of a sumo arena. It’s unclear why ELK Studios chose to have the action based there. Free Spins continue in the same back alley area, but the Speedboat Bonus is moved to a place by the water.
The paytable consists of two big symbol groups – low-paying and high-paying ones. The lower-paying symbols consist of grapes, cherries, and lemons, while for the higher-paying ones, you can see two sumo wrestlers. One is red, and the other is blue. The list is wrapped up by the slot’s Wilds that substitute all regular paying symbols.
In-Game Features
As we already mentioned, you should expect a variety of features from this slot, that will boost your total win, as well as the thrill and the excitement.
Wild Sumo Stacks
A Wild Sumo Stack is made when adjacent sumo symbols jump on top of one another. When a win occurs, the same types of sumo symbols jump into a position to form a stack, or they jump onto a stack of the same type that has already been formed.
These single-position stacks are Wild, with a multiplier equal to the number of sumo symbols they contain, and take up one position. If more than one Wild Sumo Stack is utilized, multipliers are added multiplicatively to each win that crosses them. A respin is given when a stack is produced, and the stack then shifts one step to the right.
Brawls
When opposing Wild Sumo Stack kinds are visible on the same row during a respin, the one on the right approaches the one on the left to start a fight. The value of the losing stack is divided by the size of the winning stack, which increases the winning stack’s multiplier. In the situation that stacks are equal, a winner is chosen at random.
SpeedBoat Bonus
The Speedboat Bonus is initiated by landing three Speedboat Bonus symbols. This one offers a collection feature along with three spins. Other positions are spun, and a Speedboat symbol with an x-bet value. Spins are retriggered, and the boat speeds to capture any additional symbols that come into view. The Speedboat will continue to collect symbols if it can see them from the new collection position, either horizontally or vertically, and will stop when there are none left in its field of view.
The symbols that can be collected are the following. Swimmer Sumo allows the Speedboat to collect value. Sumo the Wakeboarder is attached to the Speedboat and adds value to it. It moves into new positions, increasing its x-bet value. When a wakeboard is already attached to the Speedboat, more gathered wakeboards are not attached. Nonetheless, the connected wakeboarder counter’s step value rises. The Speedboat x-bet amount and Wakeboarder counter are multiplied due to the Ramp.
The Harpoonist/Turbo Harpoonist increases the worth of uncollected Swimmers or Wakeboarders upon landing and during following spins when symbols are uncollected. It also adds value to the Speedboat. Each time the Speedboat captures a symbol, the Turbo Harpoonist increases the values of other swimmers or wakeboarders.
Sumo Sumo Free Spins
6 Free Spins are awarded to players who land 2 Scatters. Wild Sumo Stacks remain in place throughout this bonus round and do not spin-off on a loss or when they reach the first reel. An additional 6 Free Spins are awarded if the bonus round is reactivated.
X-iter Feature
The X-iter feature allows you to pay 5, 10, 50, 100, or 500x the stake for Bonus Hunt, Brawl Mode, Speedboat Bonus, Super Speedboat Bonus, and Free Spins, respectively.
