Sword of Ares Review
It looks like Pragmatic Play has a thing about mythology-themed slots, so that’s why you will get to experience Sword of Ares. This Ancient Greek-themed slot offers a maximum win of 10,000x the stake!
Sword of Ares Offers:
- Multipliers
- Free Spins
- Bonus Buy
Sword of Ares is a 6×5 grid slot that is developed with 20 winning ways. To start the action, you should land at least eight matching symbols anywhere on the grid, as the slot uses the Scatter pays system.
Pragmatic Play includes a few features that will try to hold your attention, such as Free Spins, multipliers, collecting meters, and a few more extras. If we have your attention, you can read our detailed review below and see what else awaits you.
Themes, Graphics, and Sounds
When specific things occur on the grid, the main character of Sword of Ares stands by the reels extremely playfully. Ares, the son of Zeus and Hera and a Greek god of war, among other things, serves as the game’s main character. Ares is resting in a hazy environment full of grassy columns and antique architecture.
As for what you’ll find on the reels of this online slot, you will come across a bunch of symbols that are divided into low-paying and high-paying ones. The lower-paying symbols consist of five gemstones, while the higher-paying ones are depicted by chariots, swords, helmets, and shields.
In-Game Features
Sword of Ares comes with well-known features that are upgraded into more unique ones. Let’s check them out!
Tumble Feature
The Tumble function is activated by each successful win. This mechanism clears the reels of all winning symbols, allowing symbols from above to drop and fill the available space.
After the symbols have filled in the spaces, if another win occurs, the previous ones are also taken out and replaced. The sequence comes to an end, and the total win is awarded if no new cluster wins are generated.
Multiplier Collection Feature
Although multipliers are included with Sword of Ares, their working has changed from before. A meter above the reels shows three multiplier values during base gameplay and six multiplier values during free spins.
Each new spin for these multiplier values begins with them locked. After tumbles, the quantity of explosive or winning symbols is tallied. The multipliers unlock at specific collection spots. The highest unlocked multiplier is applied to the winning total after a tumbling sequence.
You need to collect 20, 50, or 100 symbols to unlock the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd multiplier. The 1st comes with values of 2, 3, or 4x, the 2nd with values of 5, 6, 7, or 8x, and the 3rd provides multiplier values of 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, or 15x.
Bombs
In both the regular game and the bonus round, four different types of bomb symbols can be found on each reel. As long as there are winning scatters left on the reels once a Bomb lands, it stays in place.
Then they detonate, clearing the board of all symbols arranged in a horizontal, vertical, cross, or X pattern. New symbols fall from above as the multipliers collect the removed symbols. Bombs won’t detonate in the base game unless at least one fall has taken place.
Sword of Ares Free Spins
Although there is a Free Spins feature, it is more about multipliers. The players need to land at least 4 Scatters to win 15 Free Spins and collect 15, 27, 39, 55, 85, and 235 symbols in order to unlock the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th multiplier.
The 1st one comes with values of 2-4x, the 2nd with values of 5-8x, the 3rd with 9-15x, the 4th with multiplier values of 16-25x, without 23x and 24x, the 5th with values of 26, 28, 30, 32, 35, 40, or 50x, and the last one always has a value of 500x.
Bonus Buy Feature
If you don’t want to wait, you can trigger the Bonus Game for 100x the stake.
