Tasty Treats Review
Game developer Hacksaw Gaming has added a new release to its Pocketz range. The online slot is all about candy, sugar, and all those delightful treats that everyone loves to eat. And the best thing is you won’t gain a single pound.
The candy theme is very popular in online slots, and it’s easy to see why. So, get your toothbrush ready, as we’re sure you’re going to enjoy playing this mouthwatering title.
At the same time, the developer made sure you don’t lack excitement by adding a number of potentially rewarding features to the package.
- High volatility with the maximum prize of 10,000x the bet
- The game uses the Cluster Pays system
- Players can benefit from Bubble Boosters, Free Spins, and the Monster Hand feature
As you may expect from a slot using this theme, the grid and the overall scenery use lots of bright colours. This is not a feature-rich release, although that doesn’t mean players won’t have enough chances to scoop a prize or two.
Bubble Boosters have an excellent winning potential, Free Spins can also prove to be rewarding, while the Monster Hand feature offers help to complete wins.
All in all, the top payout is worth 10,000 times the stake, which is a generous prize for enduring the game’s highly volatile nature.
Theme, Graphics and Sounds
The game’s appearance reminded us of Sweet Bonanza. Once the reels start spinning, you’ll encounter a wide variety of sweets, from the mountains of candy floss and candy canes to the syrup that covers the screen.
All the action is accompanied by a matching soundtrack that helps create an immersive and captivating atmosphere.
Playable on all devices, Tasty Treats takes place on a six-reel, five-row grid and uses the Cluster Pays system.
You’ll need at least five symbols of the same kind to create a cluster, and they need to be connected either vertically or horizontally.
All winning symbols are then removed from reels, with existing icons falling into empty positions. This can create new chain reactions and further increase your prizes.
In-game features
Bubbles can appear on the screen anytime during the game to burst over a randomly-chosen position. They come in different sizes, containing Wilds and multipliers.
If you get a multiplier on a winning cluster, the payout will be multiplied by its value. Up to five Bubbles can be triggered during a spin, appearing in 1×1, 2×2 or 3×3 sizes.
The smallest ones contain just one symbol, while the largest can bring up to nine of them. When it comes to the multiplier values, they start at 2x and go up to 100x.
If more multipliers appear in a winning cluster, their values will be added together and applied to any potential winnings.
The Monster Hand feature is randomly triggered to remove symbols from the grid, thus making room for new ones to drop onto the reels.
Tasty Treats Free Spin
Land three Scatters to unlock the game’s Free Spins round. Once the bonus is activated, each triggering Scatter will turn into a number. The sum of these numbers will determine the number of spins you receive.
You can get from six up to fifteen spins. During the round, more Bubble Boosters will appear on the reels. Landing at least one Scatter is enough to retrigger the bonus.
Players in some jurisdictions will be able to purchase the bonus round by paying 129 times their bet.

RTP, bet sizes and volatility
The slot’s default RTP is 96.21%, although some configurations come with a lower payout percentage. That’s why we suggest checking the value before playing the game.
Betting starts as low as $0.20, with $100 being the maximum amount of money you can spend on every spin.
The top payout of 10,000 times the bet is a generous reward for all those brave enough to face the title’s high volatility.

Verdict
Tasty Treats may appear like any other candy-themed slot. Also, the bonus game is not too inventive. However, this game could be an excellent choice for players who want a simple game that doesn’t offer too many features.
Still, the features on offer are effective and can help slot enthusiasts claim handsome prizes. The top payout of 10,000 times the bet is also very appealing.
Tasty Treats may not be Hacksaw Gaming’s best release, but it sure is fun to play. We rate it 4 out of 5 stars.
