Double Rainbow Review
If you are a fan of fantasy-themed slots, Double Rainbow might be the online slot you are looking for. This slot has a huge cartoon look that might not be for everyone, but it comes with a decent maximum win of 5,000x the stake, so let’s give it a shot!
Double Rainbow Offers:
- Multipliers
- Bonus Buy
- Free Spins
Double Rainbow is a 7×6 with a cluster pay system. This colorful slot was developed by Hacksaw Gaming, which surprised us a bit as we expected a lot more from this developer.
The players need to land at least five matching symbols horizontally or vertically to trigger the cluster pay mechanic. Usually, Hacksaw Gaming provides more exciting slots.
In Double Rainbow, you can only benefit from the well-known multipliers and Free Spins. If you are interested to learn more about this fantasy-themed slot, read our in-depth review below.
Themes, Graphics, and Sounds
Once you load Double Rainbow, you will experience one cartoon-inspired theme that consists of unicorns, rainbows, and pastel-colored clouds all over the reels.
This time, the graphics aren’t the slot’s strength because although they give cartoon vibes, they could’ve been more advanced. The only thing that stands our from the pale background is the reels.
Speaking of the reels, they are filled with colorful gems that look like candies. What shocked us the most is that, in contrast to other slots, all of the symbols have the same value.
So, while playing Double Rainbow, you won’t come across low-paying or high-paying symbols. You will just need to land cluster from a minimum of five matching symbols or more than 15.
For a cluster win of 15 or more symbols, you will be awarded a cash prize of 50x the bet.
In-Game Features
You might think that the gameplay would be more exciting than the theme and the graphics, but we must disappoint you. The features you’ll come across are the multipliers, Free Spins, and the Bonus Buy.
Each of the seven reels activates when a cloud symbol lands on it. These symbols not only activate the reels but also add a multiplier to them. There are two types of cloud symbols – normal clouds and Double Rainbow clouds.
The difference between these types is the number of extra spins. The normal clouds add a multiplier of 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 25, 50, 100, and 250x and one extra spin.
On the other hand, the Double Rainbow clouds add a multiplier of 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 25, 50, 100, and 250x and additional three spins.
Double Rainbow Free Spins
The second feature you may benefit from is the Full Rainbow feature, or the Free Spins. This feature triggers when all seven reels are active.
Once they are active, they are multiplied by a multiplier of 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10x. Afterward, the players receive 5 Free Spins while the reels remain active.
Last but not least is the Bonus Buy feature that comes with a possibility for two purchases. You can pay 10x the bet and win one spin and a multiplier with a starting value at 4x, or receive four spins and a multiplier value also of 4x for 50x the stake.

RTP, Bet Sizes, and Volatility
Hacksaw Gaming developed Double Rainbow as a medium volatile slot that is combined with an RTP of 96.38%, but you should be careful as the RTP varies a lot. For the 1st Bonus Buy option, it may increase to 96.41%, while for the 2nd option, it will decrease to 96.27%.

Verdict
Double Rainbow is a relatively weak slot that can’t keep your attention for so long. In fact, we aren’t sure if it would even get your attention in the first place.
The theme and the graphics are okay bad, but the gameplay is a bit dull. We aren’t the biggest fans of this slot, but you can definitely try it if you are willing to. We give this game 3 out of 5 stars.
