Book of Sam Review
If you are more into modern-themed slots with high wins, then Book of Sam might intrigue you. This online slot comes with a maximum win of 10,000x the stake!
Book of Sam Offers:
- Free Spins
- Bonus Buy
- Expanding Symbols
Book of Sam is a 5×3 slot grid that has only ten fixed pay lines. In order to trigger the excitement, the players need to land at least three matching symbols, starting at the leftmost reel.
The guys from ELK Studios once again came up with a unique idea that takes you on an adventure in Las Vegas, where you can benefit from expanding symbols, Free Spins, and a few more rewarding extras. If we have your attention, keep reading our in-depth review.
themes, Graphics, and Sounds
This modern-themed slot is located in a city with sarcasm all around it, including a sign that says ‘Welcome to Sam Vegas’ and one building that appears to be ‘Sandras Palace.’ A lively soundtrack that inspires you to dance is the cherry on top and adds additional spice.
Moving on to the reels, the players will come across low-paying and high-paying symbols. The lower-paying ones consist of 10-A Royals, whereas the higher-paying symbols are represented by a cat and three characters. The list ends with a Wild symbol that substitutes all regular paying ones, but probably the best part is that it is also a Scatter.
In-Game Features
In terms of the gameplay, you might come across a few features that will help you earn the maximum win. Let’s get down to business!
Electric Treats
Both the base game and the bonus game have Electric Treats enabled. When a member of the family creates a win, they come to life. If you land at least two Sam symbols, then you will get Respins with a book symbol that locks in place. However, if you trigger this option during the Bonus Game, the book becomes an expanding Wild.
Next, by landing at least two Sandra symbols, you will receive Respins with multipliers that accompany them. Last but not least is the Maggie Electric Treat option that triggers when you land at least two Maggie symbols. This option removes all low-paying symbols and awards a symbol redrop.
Book of Sam Free Spins
3, 4, or 5 Scatters give 8 Free Spins with 1, 2, or 3 expanding symbols, respectively. Expanding symbols cover every spot on their reel after win evaluations. For the symbols to expand, each reel must have at least two high-paying or three low-paying expanding symbols. These symbols pay all directions from any location after they have been expanded.
What’s more, during the Free Spins, an additional expanding symbol, and Free Spins are given if three or more Scatters land on the reels. Free Spins also allow the triggering of Electric Treats. Sandra’s multiplier remains active only during an Electric Treat. However, it is permanent during Free Spins. When the Treat expires, it deactivates, but a new Electric Treat can make it active again. The book symbol also acts as an expanding Wild during this feature if Electric Sam occurs.
Bonus Buy
Players can enable the Bonus Buy feature by paying 2, 10, 100, or 500x the stake for Bonus Hunt, Electric Treat, Expanding Symbols, Bonus Game, and Super Bonus, respectively.

RTP, Bet Sizes, and Volatility
Book of Sam is a highly volatile slot that comes with an RTP of 94%, which, unfortunately, is quite low. In contrast to this, the maximum win of the slot is pretty attractive. The players may win up to 10,000x the stake by betting as low as $0.20 or as high as $100 per spin.
Book of sam Demo
Having so many slots as an option makes things really challenging. To make sure you won’t waste your money on a slot that isn’t rewarding, exciting, or that you simply don’t enjoy, we recommend trying the demo version that we provide at the beginning of our review.
The demo will significantly help you understand how the slot works, how often it lands a win, and what it offers. In the end, if you decide to give this slot a try, you can find it in the online casinos we provide for you.
Verdict
Book of Sam comes with a unique theme that may hold your attention for a while. The gameplay also comes with a few thrilling features, and the maximum win is probably the best part of the slot.
Overall, ELK Studios did an amazing job with this slot. It looks like 2023 will start off well! We give this game 3 out of 5 stars.
