Book of Toro Review
ELK Studios delivers another slot from the Toro series, the Book of Toro. This online slot offers a win of up to 10,000x the stake.
Book of Toro Offers:
- Free Spins
- Mummy Re-spins
- Scatters
Book of Toro is a 5×3 slot grid with ten pay lines. To create a win, the players need to land at least three matching symbols across a pay line or only two of the higher-paying symbols.
The slot comes with four Bonus features, such as Mummy Re-spins and Toro Goes Wild. The most action happens in the Free Spins game, where the players can win up to forty Free Spins. Keep reading to find out more about this slot.
Themes, Graphics, and Sounds
Book of Toro comes with an Ancient Egypt theme and a very exciting story. The storyline behind the casino game is about Toro and Matador, who are trying to protect the Book of Toro from the evil Captain Diaz.
The graphics are in a cartoon style, while the soundtrack that accompanies the action gives an upbeat traditional feeling. Moving on to the symbols, they are divided into low-paying and high-paying symbols.
The 10-A Royals are lower-paying, while the higher-paying symbols consist of the Eye of Ra, Scarab Beetles, Horus Falcons, and Matador, as the most lucrative symbol.
For 2, 3, 4, or 5 of his kind, he’ll award you with 1, 10, 50, or 250x the stake. Toro appears as the slot’s Wild and acts as a Walking Wild; he gives you re-spins as he moves.
There is also a Toro Wild Scatter, which is sticky during the Toro Goes Wild feature.
In-Game Features
The Mummy Re-spin feature triggers as you land two or more Mummy symbols. These symbols lock in place and become sticky for the next spin. If you land another Mummy symbol during this feature, you get additional Re-spin.
Next is the Toro Goes Wild feature. This feature triggers when the Toro Walking Wild appears on the 5th reel or during the Mummy Re-spin feature.
This symbol moves one reel leftwards, leaving Re-spins behind him. When this symbol is present, every Book symbol is sticky.
Book of Toro Free Spins
Landing three or more Scatters triggers the Free Spins feature. By landing 3, 4, or 5 Book Scatters, you’ll receive 10, 15, or 20 Free Spins. Then, a random symbol becomes an expansion symbol.
The expansion occurs when two high or medium value symbols appear, or three lower-paying ones. The Free Spins feature can retrigger, awarding the players additional Free Spins and expansion symbols.
You can win up to forty Free Spins and two expansion symbols. There is also the X-iter feature, which is like a Bonus Buy feature.
The players can buy the five X-iter options for 5-500x their stake. For 5x the stake, they get one spin and the Mummy Re-spin feature.
For 25x the stake, the players will get one spin and the Toro Goes Wild feature. Furthermore, for the price of 50x the stake, the player will receive three Free Spins and an expansion symbol.
Lastly, for 250 and 500x the stake, you’ll get entries to the Free Spins Bonus feature, and the Super Free Spins Bonus feature.

Verdict
Although the Book of Toro is a bit similar to the previous slots from the series, the developers added expansion symbols and Free Spins.
The slot comes with solid payouts of up to 10,000x the stake on each win. The theme and the graphics are extraordinary, but perhaps the developers could’ve added a more exciting feature. We give this game 3 out of 5 stars.
