Book of Time Review
Many people are used to the frequent slot themes, such as classic-themed ones, ancient ones, oriental, etc. Hacksaw Gaming developed a different themed slot which brings uniqueness to the industry. You may win up to 10,000x the stake!
Canny the Can and the Book of Time Offers:
- Scatters
- Free Spins
- Special Symbols
Canny the Can and the Book of Time is a 5×4 slot grid that comes with 20 fixed pay lines. In order to create a win, the players need to land at least three matching symbols, starting at the leftmost reel.
The players can enjoy the Free Spins game and the Bonus Buy. It may sound boring, but we assure you, there’s more! If you want to find out what this online slot has prepared for you, keep reading our in-depth review below.
Themes, Graphics, and Sounds
The majority of Canny the Can and the Book of Time slot is played outside, with background nature scenery that appears to have been painted with oils and a variety of strange, almost unconnected symbols Scattered over the reels. Unless we are missing some clear indication, the symbols in Book of Time have a witchy, Halloween-like feel to them. The indoor surroundings of the bonus rounds, such as a museum, library, or art gallery, give the impression that a variety of random elements were thrown into a hat, shaken around, and then spilled onto the screen.
On the reels, you will find low-paying and high-paying symbols, represented by 10-A Card Ranks as the lower-paying ones, and a dead animal, a mouse, a wand, and a serpent severed hand for the premium symbols. We’ll wrap up this section with the Wilds that substitute all regular paying symbols.
In-Game Features
As there is not much happening during the Free Spins, we’ll move on directly to the Bonus Game.
Canny the Can and the Book of Time Free Spins
The It’s a Classic! feature is activated by landing three or more Book symbols. Three or more Book symbols offer 10 Free Spins with one special symbol, four Book symbols award 15 Free Spins with two special symbols, and five Book symbols award 20 Free Spins with three special symbols.
After any regular wins are paid out, special symbols that appear on at least three reels during Free Spins grow to fill all spaces on those reels. They pay from all lines from whatever position after they expand. During the feature, getting three Book symbols provides five additional Free Spins and lets you choose one more unique symbol.
But that’s not all. Next is the What Time is it? Free Spins feature. In this feature, a clock is visible above reels 2, 3, and 4. The time changes with each spin. Wild Multiplier Clock symbols spread out from the top when a Clock symbol falls on reels 2, 3, or 4.
They then replace all other symbols until the Clock Activator appears, which they also substitute. The multiplier is based on the time displayed on the clock, which ranges from 2-12x. If a pay line has multiple Multiplier Clocks, the values are combined before being applied.
Bonus Buy
The slot comes with various Bonus Buy options. You can pay 3, 100, 200, 400, or 200x the stake to increase the likelihood of triggering the Bonus Game, It’s a Classic with 10, 15, 20 Free Spins, and What Time is it?, respectively.
