Rex The Hunt Review
If you want to try something you’ve never seen before or something that at least is not that frequent, Rex the Hunt by Thunderkick might be the slot for you.
Rex the Hunt Offers:
- Mystery Symbols
- Free Spins
- Scatters
Rex the Hunt is a 6-reel slot that has a row layout of 3-4-4-4-4-3. The grid consists of 178 winning ways, and the players can create a win by landing at least three matching symbols across one of them.
Then, you go way back in time, when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. In this slot, you will benefit from mystery symbols and Free Spins. If you want to learn more, you can learn more about this slot in our review below.
Themes, Graphics, and Sounds
Rex the Hunt is located deep into a forest, which kind of gives a cartoon feel. You will see the grid in the focus of the screen, while you will see big green trees and bushes behind it. There are also a few colorful flowers in the bushes, and that’s it.
Moving on to the paytable, you will find low-paying and high-paying symbols. The lower-paying symbols consist of 9-A Royals, whereas the higher-paying ones are represented by four differently colored dinosaurs. The symbols list ends with the Wilds that substitute all regular paying ones.
In-Game Features
In terms of the gameplay, the players will get a few simple ones. So, let’s get started!
Mystery Symbols
Mystery symbols can land at any time on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th reels. If there are mystery symbols visible at the end of a spin, they all reveal the same symbol type. Keep in mind that the mystery symbols can’t reveal the Scatter.
Rex the Hunt Free Spins
The players receive 10 Free Spins when the Scatter symbols land on the 1st and the 6th reel. Landing another Scatter during the bonus game provides an additional 5 Free Spins.
When mystery symbols appear in the bonus game, they stay on the reels for the duration of the round. Lastly, the best part is that the mystery symbols from the base game can be transferred to the Free Spins round.

RTP, Bet Sizes, and Volatility
Rex the Hunt is developed by Thunderkick. This developer is known for its highly volatile slots, so that’s the case with this one too. The high volatility is combined with an RTP of 96.16% and a max win of 4,000x, which is not the highest we’ve seen, but it is still decent. To give this slot a shot, players can pace their bettings at a minimum of $0.10 or at a maximum of $100 per spin.
Rex the Hunt Demo
If you are a newbie, or you simply don’t want to waste your money on a slot that you don’t like, playing the demo version is the right thing to do. That’s why we always include the free online slot at the beginning of our review, so you may try it at any time.
For example, if you decide to try Rex the Hunt, its demo version will help you understand what features it has, you will also see the themes and the graphics, and, most important, you will easily decide whether you want to bet on this slot or not.
Verdict
Thunderkick is one of the best developers, but this time, it didn’t offer anything special. Rex the Hunt comes with a unique theme, and it could be a great slot if it offers unique features and a higher maximum win.
However, if you think that this slot is the right one for you, go ahead and give it a try. We give this game 3 out of 5 stars.
