Heist Stakes Review
Who does not dream of getting rich quickly? Say what you will about a life of crime, but there is no denying it can be lucrative.
One heist can set you for life if you do it right. PG Soft guards its jackpots close. Fortunately, a gorgeous redhead thief will help us to try to take that grand prize.
Security will be tight, and the risk is high. However, if we succeed in beating Heist Stakes, we could haul off an impressive top prize home. Is the risk of taking on this vault worth the reward that lies within?
- Highly volatile with a 30,000x jackpot
- 720 ways to win
- Bonuses include expanding Wilds, cascading reels, and free spins
PG Soft designs their online slots with portrait mode on mobile devices in mind. This allows them to make rather creative design decisions when it comes to graphics.
We see the thief above the reels and the many treasures in the vault below them. If you can get past them, you could escape that much richer.
You will need the aid of cascading reels, expanding Wilds, and free spins to make it work. If it all works out, though? You could take home a 30,000x jackpot from this highly volatile slot.
Theme, Graphics and Sounds
This is not the first time a software provider chose to tackle a heist theme in their casino game. However, few have done it as well as this developer. The perspective offered by its portrait mode setup looks great.
Combined with a cool background and excellent animations, this release is a true feast for the eyes. In contrast, the symbol designs include a mix of cash stacks, diamonds, and playing card royals. Not bad, but nothing that would blow you away either.
You play Heist Stakes on a five-reel board with a 3-4-5-4-3 reel layout. The board has 720 ways to win, which replaces traditional paylines.
With ways to win, forming a win is simpler. You only need to find three or more matching icons next to one another, starting with the leftmost reel. However, this also means we cannot toggle individual paylines off to lower our total bet.
In-game features
Cascading reels are active during both normal gameplay and free spins. All symbols that were part of a winning combination are removed from the playing field.
Existing icons fall to take their place, while new ones appear from the top of the board. Reels will continue cascading as long as players keep forming new winning combinations.
This means a single spin could result in multiple wins, drastically improving your odds of winning.
During any spin, a Wild on the third reel will cause it to expand. This replaces all symbols in the third reel with other Wilds. After all of the wins are paid, Wilds will cascade down in reel three until no more wins occur.
Heist Stakes Free Spins
Land three Scatter symbols anywhere on the board to win ten free spins. Every additional Scatter on top of that adds two more free spins.
During free spins, a special win multiplier is added that increases every time the reels cascade. You can also retrigger free spins to keep the fun going for longer. There is no limit on how high the multiplier can reach.

Verdict
PG Soft continues to deliver an excellent mobile gaming experience. This release has great visuals, fun gameplay, and a fantastic top prize.
Each part of Heist Stakes feels like it was handcrafted to fit with the rest. Cascading reels make you feel like you are rappelling down to break into the vault.
Once all the stars align and you get a big payout? It makes the risk you took worth it even more. We rate this slot 4 out of 5 stars.
