Hex Review
It looks like this spring will be overwhelmed by new online slots. Relax Gaming delivers a fantasy-themed slot that gives mysterious vibes. You can win up to 25,000x the total stake by playing this slot!
Hex Offers:
- Free Spins
- Bonus Buy
- Scatters
Hex is a 5×3 grid online slot with initial 243 winning ways. During the Free Spins feature, the grid can expand to size 5×4 and 1,024 pay lines. Either way, you would need at least three matching symbols to create a win.
The people at Relax Gaming developed a fantasy-themed slot that gives you feel like you’re in another life. However, the slot doesn’t come with unique features.
The players can only benefit from Free Spins, a Bonus Buy feature, and a Mystery Reveal feature. In continuance, you will learn more about this in-depth slot.
Themes, Graphics, and Sounds
The reels in Hex are located in a haunted room, with books, potions, and spider webs in the background. We suppose the room is a laboratory where many magical experiments are done. The scenery is accompanied by a mysterious soundtrack that fits perfectly well.
Moving on to the reels, you will find lots of magical symbols. They are divided into low-paying and high-paying symbols. The low-paying ones consist of four potion bottles and one test tube.
On the other hand, the premium symbols are represented by voodoo dolls, snakes, bird’s feet, cards, and skulls. You may win up to 10x the stake for a combo of five premiums.
Hex also includes a Wild symbol that replaces all regular paying ones and provides a win up to 20x the bet for five of its kind.
In-Game Features
Hex is a slot with relatively simple gameplay. You can benefit from a Mystery Reveal feature and the Free Spins. An addition is the Bonus Buy feature, which we’ll say a word or two about later.
We’ll start off with the Mystery Reveal feature. This feature is active in both the base and the bonus game.
During this feature, the Sorceress symbols land on the rightmost reel, and they and the marked symbols with a frame transform into the same symbol type.
By landing a Silver Sorceress, the symbols transform into the same paying symbols, while if a Gold Sorceress lands, the symbols transform into Wilds.
Hex Free Spins
Relax Gaming included a Free Spins feature. This feature triggers by landing at least 3 Scatters. The Scatters are depicted by the book, and by landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters, the players will receive 7, 10, or 5 Free Spins, respectively.
As we mentioned at the beginning of our review, the number of rows during this feature increases by one, and the grid changes its size to 5×4.
The number of winning ways changes to 1,024, and the Mystery Reveal feature locks in place all transformed symbols. Last but not least is the Bonus Buy feature, which allows you to purchase the Free Spins for 100x the stake.

Verdict
Hex is a fantasy-themed slot with superb graphics. Although the slot has a captivating and mysterious feel, the gameplay is a bit dull. You won’t see anything new.
Instead, you will see the already known Free Spins, Bonus Buy, and the Mystery Reveal feature. On the other hand, the maximum win is an incredible 25,000x the stake, so you should give Hex a try. We give this slot 3 out of 5 stars.
