Candy Gold Review
The iGaming industry has been overwhelmed by candy slots in recent years. Providers have developed multiple successful titles with candies at the core, becoming a popular trend. Swintt is a relatively new but rapidly growing name in the field with a new similarly themed game.
It has a simple name, Candy Gold, promising to explore the lucrative possibilities of a candy shop. A few exciting features and fast-paced gameplay will lure punters in quickly, promising a thoroughly entertaining experience. However, there are also a few crippling drawbacks that prevent this game from becoming a minor classic.
- High volatility with a maximum win of 7,000x the stake
- Cluster Pays
- Meter Booster, Multipliers, and Free Spins
The graphics are sharp and crisp, with splendid colours and enjoyable animations. Additionally, the online slot has a playful tone, evoking the joy one feels when in a candy shop. The soundtrack is enchanting, making up a lively audio-visual presentation.
The entire appearance is genuinely appealing, for everything looks and sounds excellent. Moreover, the game features are attractive, although not particularly original, with some solid twists.
A popular game lurks somewhere in the back, but we are confident some characteristics will trigger a potential backlash among the fans. Still, we think Candy Gold has a lot to show for it.
Theme, Graphics and Sounds
You cannot expect particular originality when the place of action is a candy shop. Bright and dreamy background with light colours surrounds the transparent game grid with nicely designed symbols.
While not the best game in the industry graphics-wise, it is an appealing slot that is easy on the eye. Similar adjectives could apply to the entire audio-visual presentation, delivering a memorable experience.
The gameplay is also not incredibly fresh and new, but Swintt has made an effort to make it exciting and engaging. Unfortunately, some flaws seriously hamper the game’s quality.
The action plays out on a 7×7 square grid, pretty typical for the Cluster Pays mechanic. You will have to form clusters of five and more matching symbols to create a winning combination.
The paytable consists of seven regular symbols, containing only candy-shaped icons. Low-tiers pay 5x-7.5x the bet for a combination of fifteen matching symbols and more. Furthermore, three premium symbols award 50x, 70x, and 100x the stake.
Wild symbols replace every regular icon and activate the Free Spins round, becoming one of the most prominent parts of the game. Numerous opportunities for hefty payouts are in store for you, and if Lady Luck smiles upon you, anything is possible.
In-game features
There are a Booster Meter and Free Spins, both of which sound nice and incite big wins. Most players are familiar with both features, and the gameplay is straightforward and highly volatile. Of course, Cascades are the core of entertainment with every Cluster Pays slot.
Cascades
The cascades are the usual tool with Megaways and other slots that utilize a similar mechanism. The winning symbols disappear from the grid with every winning combo and make way for the icons falling from above. The process repeats as long as there are more winning combinations.
Booster Feature
You can access Booster Meter in the base game and the Bonus game equally. You fill the counter by landing clusters in a single spin. In addition, there are six possible Candy Boosters offered whenever you fill the meter.
They include turning a random symbol or group into a Wild, or multiple of them, and vice versa. Turning rows and columns into premium symbols can be engaging.
You can also purchase the Boosters to enhance your chances of magnificent wins. The feature can also appear in the Bonus round.
Free Spins
Activate the round by landing three or more Wilds and triggering ten more spins with a Multiplier starting at an x2. It can enhance to x8, with every win increasing the meter to +1.
All wins in the round are appropriately multiplied, and you should combine Wilds and Free Spins for a maximum win of 7,000x the stake.

RTP, bet sizes and volatility
The game’s RTP amounts to 94.5%, which is shamefully below the industry standard. The hit frequency is not available, but given the situation, it is probably not on a satisfactory level. Still, it is a good game when it knows where it’s going. The Wilds remain sticky as long as the winning combination occurs.
The betting range is beyond criticism, with the lowest bet you can place standing at $0.20 and the highest at $20. The biggest amount of $20 is ridiculous for high rollers and those who want to introduce some risk in their lives.
The game is highly volatile; meaning wins are less frequent but more substantial. A solid number of thrilling and exciting sequences and moments guarantees excellent entertainment. Candy Gold will not break records and top lists, but it can deliver solid fun during considerable time periods.

Verdict
Candy Gold does not offer anything revolutionary regarding the gameplay and features, but it is a solid piece of entertainment. Only a few features take part in the gameplay, but it is enough to enjoy it after all.
If there were a better RTP and a measly betting range, we could have graded this game with a better one. However, despite all drawbacks, Candy Gold has a few significant assets, and it utilizes them as well. We rate the game 3 out of 5 stars.
