Release the Kraken 2 Review
It is more than clear that we’re all missing summer, but we’ve never seen so many summer-themed slots in Autumn. Release the Kraken takes you into the depths of the ocean, where you can find up to 5,000x the stake!
Release the Kraken 2 Offers:
- Free Spins
- Bonus Buy
- Respins
Release the Kraken 2 is a 5×4 grid slot that initially starts with 20 pay lines, which increase to 40 during the Free Spins game. But, more on that later. To create a win, the players need to land at least three matching symbols, from left to right, and you’ll be ready to swim in the ocean, searching for some big wins.
This online slot comes with various features, such as Free Spins, Respins, Wilds, Bonus Buy, etc. If we have your attention, keep reading our detailed review below.
Themes, Graphics, and Sounds
The underwater world in Release the Kraken 2 by Pragmatic Play is much bubblier than the one in the first game. It is overflowing with fish, plants, and vibrant coral. An amusing cast of characters on the reels adds extra life to the game by entertaining you whenever a winning line appears. The main Kraken characters in the first game gave off a more ominous vibe. In Release the Kraken 2, this is mainly gone and has been replaced with a fun attitude.
On the reels, you will swim into a lot of symbols that are divided into two groups – low-paying and high-paying ones. The lower-paying symbols consist of the 10-A Royals, whereas the higher-paying ones are represented by four denizens of the deep. The symbols list ends with the Wild, which substitutes the regular paying symbols.
In-Game Features
As we mentioned, Release the Kraken 2 comes with a variety of features that spice up the slot pretty decently.
Wild Respins
After the payout is made and at least 4 Wilds appear in the base game, the Respins feature is enabled. The other symbols are respun while the Wilds remain on the grid and move to a random position. After each respin, the game awards any winning lines, and if more Wilds appear, another respin is given.
Shifting Stack Wilds
In the base game, the Shifting Stack Wild symbols could randomly show up on reels 2, 3, or 4. Shifting Wild Stacks are shifted after the spin stops, so they take up the entire reel. The multiplier of a Shifting Stack Wild is increased by one for every nudging position. Wins are paid out after the nudging, and multipliers are combined before being used.
Guaranteed Win Feature
Randomly, the Kraken may appear during a losing base game spin and reorganize the symbols to produce a win for 20–50x the stake. Additionally, 3 Scatters that trigger a Free Spins bonus round may unexpectedly appear on a spin as a result of an explosion.
Release the Kraken 2 Free Spins
The Free Spins feature is activated by landing at least 3 Scatters. A little bonus game that determines the number of Free Spins and the win multiplier Deal or No Deal style takes place before the start of the Free Spins. For landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters, the players will win 4-15, 5-20, or 6-20 Free Spins, also with a 6, 10, or 10x multiplier.
The mini-game consists of 16 boxes, each of which contains a combination of Free Spins and a win multiplier from the above-mentioned upper limits. The players have the option to accept or reject the box that has been chosen. Accepting the box triggers the feature’s Free Spins and win multiplier.
Rejecting the box results in the removal of numerous boxes from the list and the display of a Free Spins/multiplier offer to the player. By accepting the offer, the feature is activated. By refusing it, additional boxes are removed, repeating the process. When a player reaches the very end, only the initial box and one more box remain – the player must decide which box to open. But that’s not all!
The grid expands the number of pay lines to 40 during Free Spins, and the win multiplier is applied to all wins. Furthermore, when Wild symbols appear, they stay on the reels till the end of the round rather than shifting to a new cell after each spin. When a golden Wild symbol appears, the win multiplier is also increased by one. Free Spins are not repeatable.
Bonus Buy
Those who don’t prefer waiting can purchase the Free Spins feature for 100x the stake or 250x the stake if they want to enable the Free Spins game with 5 Scatters.
