Space Wars 2 Powerpoints Review
NetEnt was one of the space exploration trailblazers in the iGaming industry, paving the way for other providers with Starburst. There have been many popular space games over the years, but this provider always seems to excel.
The Space Wars slot was another entertaining title, with a bunch of playful aliens having the time of their lives. The sequel was not met with too much approval when it was announced.
Waiting for the release for several years did not favour the online slot, but it finally arrived. The new, feature-rich title has a lot to show for it, delighting the fans with its versatility.
- High volatility with a maximum win of 10,020x the stake
- Cluster Pays
- Multiple features, including Powerpoints, Zapper, Bomb, Combos, and Free Spins
The graphics are playful and inviting, with a standard variant of a soundtrack for space games. They make up an excellent audio-visual presentation that sticks in your mind for a long time. The provider has prepared a game so filled with features that you virtually do not have time to think.
Such fast-paced gameplay can seem a bit too much initially, but once you get the ropes, it will be a constantly thrilling rollercoaster.
It is one of the most unabashedly crazy rollercoasters in recent years, and the fans will love it for it. They are in for a wild and unpredictable ride that could deliver hefty payouts. Learn more in our Space Wars 2 slot review!
Theme, Graphics and Sounds
Visually, this sequel is slightly flatter than its predecessor, but it is almost unfair to compare them. The original possessed rarely-seen excellence, but this game looks excellent in its own right.
Additionally, the alien design is imaginative without changing too much. Land winning clusters to activate a feast of features, then collect Powerpoints to trigger Free Spins. Space Wars 2 Powerpoints is a continuously entertaining ride that rarely stops surprising its punters.
It is almost sure it will become a smash hit, for all elements are there. From big wins and fast tempo to attractive features and good payout potential. NetEnt has managed to outdo itself with this sequel, making it better than the insanely popular original.
The action transpires on a 6×6 cluster grid, paying for three matching symbols horizontally or vertically. Pay attention to being surprised by the likable aliens as you trigger features and engage in the Bonus round.
The bottom end of the paytable belongs to Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, and Purple Rocks, while the rest includes Aliens. They have the same colours as the Rocks, with the high-paying Crystal being the most lucrative in the game.
The winning clusters are removed from the grid to make way for the new symbols to fall into their places. Wild symbols replace the regulars in winning combinations, creating more chances while attaching lucrative Multipliers in the Bonus round.
In-game features
Space Wars 2 bonus features include Powerpoints, Wilds with Multipliers, Column/Row Blaster, Zapper, Bomb, Combos, Free Spins, and Buy Feature.
Powerpoints
Powerpoints are created by generating winning combos and are added to the meter, enhancing the Multiplier, and taking punters to higher levels.
Wilds + Multipliers
When you land a three-symbol win, a Wild symbol hits one of the empty fields. It is a regular Wild in the base game, while it can carry various Multipliers in the Bonus round.
The values can be x2, x3, x4, x5, x10, or x25, but that is not all. If Multiplier Wilds participate in a win, they multiply the number of Powerpoints.
Column/Row Blaster
Four-symbol horizontal win line grants a Column Blaster icon, removing all but Wilds and feature symbols. This activity adds the Powerpoints to the meter, with a similar activity happening with a vertical line. The applicable icons in a reel vanish in that case.
Zapper
A tile named Zapper occurs when you land five or six-symbol wins, removing one to four or three to four symbol types. Zappers can come upon five to eight matching symbols hitting the reels in Free Spins.
Bomb
If a win includes horizontal and vertical matching symbols, they add a Bomb icon to the grid. It explodes, removing itself and everything around itself, adding Powerpoints to the meter. If the explosion affects a Multiplier Wild, the number of awarded Powerpoints increases.
Combos
If Blasters, Zappers, or Bombs are next to each other, they enhance their power by combining. Land a Bomb next to a Blaster to remove three reels or rows of regular symbols.
If a Bomb hits the grid next to a Zapper, one to three types turn into Bombs and explode, Zapper included. Finally, landing a Zapper next to a Blaster will turn three icon types into Blasters.
Free Spins
At least 1,000 Powerpoints can trigger the Free Spins round, with the number of spins depending on the number of points. Moreover, the grid expands to eight rows, providing chances for winning more spins from within.
Buy Feature
You can purchase eight, twelve, or sixteen spins for 75x, 140x, and 250x, respectively.

RTP, bet sizes and volatility
The game’s RTP amounts to 96.05%, barely above the industry standard. The hit frequency is still unknown, but it should not be too high, given the parameters.
Furthermore, the betting range varies from $0.20 to $100, allowing high rollers and penny-pinchers to enjoy the game equally. Adjust your preferences as you like and play.
Space Wars 2 Powerpoints is a highly volatile game, promising substantial but not-so-frequent wins. The amounts are outstanding without head-spinning, and the maximum win of 10,020x does not sound bad.

Verdict
Space Wars 2 Powerpoints is a fantastic, great-looking, innovative game with insanely-paced gameplay. The fun never stops with this one, and the provider has gone above and beyond the original.
Keeping the punters on the edge of their seats is never easy, yet NetEnt has succeeded in doing so. There are problems, but you will forget them once you play the Space Wars slot. Our rating is 4 out of 5 stars.
