Dice Spinner Megaways Review
Nowadays, many studios try to combine ancient and modern in their releases. Dice Spinner Megaways is one such example, a blend of an old game of dice and the enormously popular Megaways mechanic.
Roll the dice to grab massive payouts and change your life with cascading wins. Countless surprises are in store for you as you expand the board and hit big wins.
Experience the mysterious mixture of old and new and go home with the money. Inspired Gaming may not have created the most lucrative slot ever, but it still leaves a solid impression.
- High volatility slot with a maximum payout of $250,000
- Up to 117,649 paylines
- Cascading wins, Reel Modifiers, The Trail and other features
The online slot offers crisp graphics and high-quality animation, but quite a bizarre one. While visually appealing, the background appears to come straight from surrealist paintings.
It has plenty of features to keep you entertained for a long while, but they are not all equally impressive. It is a highly volatile slot with a maximum win set to $250,000.
While it is not the most memorable slot developed by the studio, it still packs a punch and delivers a pleasant experience. Slot enthusiasts will indubitably find something to like, at least as short-term fun.
Theme, Graphics and Sounds
As mentioned, Dice Spinner Megaways is a visually striking game, but most unusually, with a dreamlike background. Inspired Gaming tries to infuse some originality with the surrealist environment, and it can be interesting for a while.
Despite the oddity, it is a game that can award you decent payouts. Add an immersive soundtrack that may be more appropriate for a space travel adventure, and you have an extraordinary combination.
It is a modest slot that can be equally attractive to high rollers as recreational players. It tries to insert numerous things and remain original. Some of them work, some do not, but it is undoubtedly an appealing game to play.
The action takes place on a 6-reel game board, with two to seven rows and up to 117,649 paylines, due to the Megaways mechanic. You create winning combinations with six low-pay number symbols (1-6), awarding you 0.6x-1.7x the stake for a six-of-a-kind win.
Dice with the Asian characters represent premium symbols, granting you 2.7x-5x for five in a string. Moreover, a Wild dice has no monetary value but replaces all the regular pay symbols to create winning combinations.
In-game features
Every winning combo in the game triggers the cascading wins feature. The winning symbols are removed from the grid, with the new ones falling into their places.
The procedure repeats until no winning combinations remain. Additionally, when you hit question mark mystery symbols, they all turn into the same regular icon with the help of reel modifiers.
The Trail feature includes landing the red character symbol that adds two steps to the titular path. Each cascade on the same spin adds an extra step to the trail. Once it reaches six, seven, eight or nine, you receive one, two, three or four discs, respectively.
Every disc is divided into fifteen segments with various instant awards, including payouts worth 2x-200x the stake or Maxi Games. If you land more than one disc, you will receive the total sum of all.
Furthermore, if the discs stop on matching prizes, they award the following Bonuses. Two discs multiply the entire amount or Maxi Games by 1.5, three will double it, and four will give you three times the sum.
Dice Spinner Megaways Free Spins
There are no Scatter symbols in the game, so there are no Free Spins to trigger. It significantly reduces the winning potential of the game. However, there are Maxi Games you can win from the Disc feature.
Those are regular spins with a guaranteed maximum of 117,649 paylines. A random number of spins is granted, costing the same as the disc-kickstarting spin. A counter shows the number of remaining spins, with an opportunity to win again by lighting the trail once more.

RTP, bet sizes and volatility
The game provides an RTP of 96.01%, the value only slightly above the industry average. The hit frequency is still to be officially released.
There are multiple betting options, varying from $0.10 to $50. You can adjust the parameters in the game menu as it suits you and play the game according to your budget. It should appeal to high rollers and casual players equally.
The volatility is high with decent winning possibilities. Although Dice Spinner Megaways is an exciting game due to its mechanic and features, you will not see many adrenaline-rushing moments.
The whopping maximum payout of $250,000 (5,000x) represents quite a temptation, but the game flow is not its greatest quality.

Verdict
The game offers a lot but also leaves a lot to be desired. It is a less inspired version of Reel King Megaways, with numerous engaging features. However, it has some serious drawbacks, too, especially the lack of the Free Spins round.
It adds a taste of variety to the slot industry, but it is not a game-changing title by any means. However, except for the dice fans, the target audience does not seem to be too large for this one.
It has an appealing concept and is worth a shot for the sake of novelty, but it will not be a classic. We rate it 3 out of 5 stars.
