Hand of Anubis Review
We’re taking you back to Ancient Egypt, but this time in a darker adventure, where Anubis will guide you to the maximum win of 10,000x the stake. After all, it looks like everything isn’t that dark.
Hand of Anubis Offers:
- Multipliers
- Modifiers
- Bonus Buy
Hand of Anubis is a 5×6 grid slot with a cluster pays system by Hacksaw Gaming. To make a win, the players should land at least five matching symbols vertically or horizontally. We’re not sure if you’ve ever seen Ancient Egypt so dark, but don’t worry.
You can win up to a fantastic 10,000x the stake by triggering pretty unique features, like Soul Orbs, Underworld, or Judgement. This will be one hell of an adventure, of course, in the most positive way. If you’re already intrigued, read our in-depth review and see what else awaits you.
Themes, Graphics, and Sounds
Once you the online slot, you won’t see anything else than darkness, so we guess the reels are located in the Ancient Egypt underworld. The only thing that changes are the statues on both sides of the reels, and that’s it. However, it is pretty tempting.
As for the reels, they are filled with low-paying and high-paying symbols. The lower-paying symbols consist of 10-A Royals, which provide a payout of 15x the stake for a cluster win of 11.
On the other hand, the higher-paying symbols are depicted by five golden Ancient Egyptian-styled tokens. By landing a cluster win of 11 premium symbols, the players may win up to 60x the stake. Now, let’s get down to the real business.
In-Game Features
Hand of Anubis’ gameplay consists of unique features that aren’t seen before. Let’s pay attention to the Wilds. On the reels may land red Soul Orb, a blue Soul Orb, or both during the base game.
The red Soul Orb’s multiplier increases by 1x for every symbol in each winning cluster, while the blue Soul Orb’s multiplier increases by 1x per cluster.
Next is the Underworld feature, which triggers by landing 3 Scatters on the reels. Once you activate it, a bunch of numbers will appear below the grid. Those numbers are multipliers that start on zero.
Whenever you land a cluster win, each multiplier receives the number of winning symbols from each reel. Also, during this feature, Scatters may land, and if they do, the numbers below them are multiplied by 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10x.
But remember that these multipliers only activate when a green Soul Orb lands. Every time a number activates, the players get 3 Spins. The best part of this feature is probably the maximum value of the multipliers, which is 9,999x the stake.
The second unique feature is known as Judgement, and it triggers by landing 4 Scatters. After triggering it, all regular paying symbols are removed, and only blank blocks or special blocks land.
The feature starts with 3 Spins and multiplier above each reel. These multipliers can be increased when the Multiplier Modifier Blocks land.
Skulls and Anubis Skulls increase the mutlipliers above them by 1-100x and 2-10x, respectively, while Epic Skulls and Epick Anubis Skulls increase all multipliers values by 1-100x and 2-10x.
But there’s more. After an Ice Block drops, it makes place for a Multiplier Block, which takes the value from the multiplier above. Also, Crusher blocks may land and smash the Multiplier Blocks beneath them. If this happens, both blocks’ values are added together.
Last but not least is the Bonus Buy feature that allows you to buy Underworld or Judgement for 129x or 200x the stake.

RTP, Bet Sizes, and Volatility
Hand of Anubis is a highly volatile slot with an RTP of 96.24%, which can decrease to 96.28% or 96.18% due to the Bonus Buy feature.
However, the three values are higher than the average one. The players can bet as low as $0.10 or as high as $100 per spin to win the maximum win of 10,000x the stake.
Verdict
This Ancient Egypt-themed slot was one entirely different experience from what we expected. Instead of bright colors, we’ve come across a dark underworld that provides great excitement and thrill.
This slot is the right game for those who are brave and tend to try something new. What else can we say? Give this slot a try and see for yourselves. We give this game 4 out of 5 stars.
